I came across a 7/8 razor coming from the area of Thiers which looks like that

is it possible that it is its genuine shape, or a part near the heel has been cut off?

and IMHO most likely in original shape :thumbup:

I have one or two that shape, most framebacks are, as are some faux ones like yours

It's a genuine shape. Unlike most razors, this blade has been ground with the abrasive wheels turning lengthwise of the blade. That's why the blade is T-shaped. You can see the run-out portion of the wheels as a sloping curve on the tang.

Definitely the original shape, I've seen this razor before at a meet.
