to wide stone?

i have a coticule from 193x86 mm
i notice that one side of the razor is a lot sharper than the other side.
should i replace the x stroke to a moving for- backwards stroke or should i do i need another technique,

With one "side" sharper than the other, I presume you mean that the tip part of the edge is keener than the shoulder part?

If you mean that the razor shaves better or worse depending on which side of the blade touches the skin, that is a totally different issue. (mostly stropping related).

In the first case, it's perfectly acceptable that you make honing strokes that favor the less keen part of the edge. It also helps to put your index finger right on top of the part that stayed behind.
