Hopefully some of you can spot and id. these Cotis :)

number 1. is a natural stone. Number 2. is a soft stone and a fast cutter, the one that I use the most.
Number 3. Is new and I have not used it yet, it has pink dots that can be seen on the side and it has a shade of green at the top.

Thank you for your effort!

nice stones you got there

Coticule#1 indeed is a La Grise.

The third one looks like n°28 of the Vault, no layer name known.

Coticule#2, appears to be a vintage hone of indeterminable origin.

Kind regards,
Bart.

I believe that would place the third one in the "vintage" category, then. That is, we don't know which mine it's from and can't really guess as to its origin (yet).

Sorry about the picture quality..
One side picture and one close up at top.
It sure do look like glue also I can tell that the slate is dark brown, - the slurry from the top looks "dark" white.
regards.

I'm confused now by what you're saying and can't tell the color well enough from your last set of pictures. Could you show a picture of the non-coticule side, preferably taken outside in daylight?
