Hello,

Could someone take a stab at identifying the coti in the pic? I have a chance to get it for a razor trade but would like to know what it is before going forward.

Rick, I'm not great at this little game, but if it's a natural combination and has blue lines in the lateral wall of the coticule part, I'd say it's la petite blanche. It looks like it to me on my screen, but I can't be confident in either of those two characteristics being there. Can you confirm or deny?

Just talked to the owner and the answer is yes and yes. It is a natural combo and it does have blue lines running through it.

I am even worse than Paul at identifying layers, but it does look like a la petite blanche to me too, either way I am sure it is a very capable hone.

Have no clue regarding the layer..But if you can swap this for a razor,I would`nt hesitate..offcourse considering the value of the razor. Razors come and go,coticules stay.

I have no idea about the layer. It could be a La Nouvelle Veine, but I would not be surprised if this is actually an old Coticule from a nowadays closed mine, without any information available of the layers.
