I am from the state of Virginia and I started DE shaving my face with a Merkur Futur in '96 and then started head shaving in 2002. I used the Futur for 26 years straight until this year when I decided to get a 1962 H2 Gillette Slim Adjustable last year (2023). I am a newbie so to speak as I had only used one blade company and one soap brand in all that time, till the blade company moved and where they are made now, the blade couldn't cut my beard growth and the soap company went out. Since then, I have tried 30 different bands/scents of soaps and 20 different blades. Thanks for allowing me to join and I look forward to learning new things and the history of many different razors.
