The Darsi is single edge, cassette loaded razor. Basically looking like a cross between a Braun electric razor and mechanically powered flashlight, this is a slanted, cassette loaded razor. To refresh the blade, turn the wheel, and then use the lever to break the excess part.
To change the cassette, you have to remove a few screws, which completely disassembles the razors, and is not without danger. The spring is really strong and it's very easy to have razor parts flying around. I was hit in the chest, and would have been seriously unhappy had that part been catapulted in my face.
Might be the reason there's not too many of them around.

What happens if you squeeze the handle while shaving? Did you try shaving with it, or is the blade too far gone?

More of a magazine dispenser, it doesn't collect the used parts back onto a coil.
