Gerba? Razor

Snowbeard

Well-Known Member
I saw some photos of a razor with the same plate as this one on another shaving forum. That razor was in a case marked "Gerba". Not much information is available online regarding Gerba although it appears to be German. I noticed some Gerba blades online and they had the German mark "D.R.W.Z" on them, which places that brand in Germany and those particular blades in the years 1944 - 1952 (I believe). My "Gerba" razor came from Sweden and up until now I was thinking this razor came from Sweden, not Germany.

Anyone else seen something like this?

Haven't seen one of these before. Can't find anything either, except for a Gerba straight razor. Merkur, Mulcuto made straights in the days of yore as well, so it is quite possible that this Gerba made DE as well.
What I find interesting however is the way this razor implemented a differential head. Quite fascinating.
