Two passes and touch ups with the Ever-Ready Lather Catcher Razor and a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. I didn't like the gillette with the standard handle. The combi with the lemonwald handle is better. The la cigale shaving soap is a local product. This is the only part in France were I encountered it.

Being a lefty I’m a bit handicapped since I fell down the stairs. This means I have now firsthand experience doing trivial stuff the right handed way. Why you right handers would want to make life so difficult for yourselves baffles the mind. Brushing your teeth is far easier using your left hand than your right. As is, as I’ve noticed half an hour ago, lathering up.
