Bakelite razors in use and collection

The more I study the topic of vintage razors, the more I come across bakelite razors and good and very good reviews about them. In my modest collection of vintage razors (I have some DE; Gem and Wedge Blade models ), there are no bakelite razors and I cannot understand for myself - do I need them. Tell me, please, what is the strong point of bakelite razors and why do many people praise them?

Bakelite razors are two things: a) light, and b) cool
Learn to shave with and appreciate razors made from bakelite or any other plastic; you'll never look back.
Those heavy stainless steel monsters are heavily overweighted overrated.
I could lyrically waffle on about how wonderfully they shave, but you'll have to figure out that bit on your own.

My favorite razors are plastic. Try (vintage) a plastic Mulcuto, or (modern) the plastic PAA Alpha Ecliptic. You won't get better shaves. Shitloads were made in the days if yore, for only one reason: they shave terrific. It is not only weight: I cannot get a good shave from a lightweight aluminum razor for instance.
So. Just for the shave: Get one. Or a hybrid like the Knock-Out (all plastic except for the metal cap). Try, learn, enjoy.
So. Just for collecting: Get one. They have an important place in shaving history.

Thank you very much for your answers.
I was just thinking about taking a break from buying razors (after the last`s NOS Valet Auto Strop, Keen Kutter Junior and crazy KING OSCILLATOR ), but it wasn't meant to be :) :) :) Сould you, please, tell me some other models, not Slant, are worth looking at (I've been eyeing Knockout for a long time, but there aren't many of them and the price is a bit off-putting)?
