BBW advice

Not only a joke

Esteban, the spanish Ardennes coticule partner, told me that the coticule slurry are being studied to use it in cosmetics as a part of the ingredients of a peeling cream
bart told somethin like that on the coticule weekend he also said it wasn't allowed in cosmetics because it contains lead or something like that

kind regards
Stijn

Indeed, they considered that path but had to abondon it due to substances that have no official clearance for use in cosmetics within the EU. Getting such substances allowed requires very expensive experimental studies, not worth the possible return on invest.

Kind regards,
Bart.

They could consider selling coticule honing sprays.

What they have are tuns of dehydrated Coticule slurry. Can be used as a stropping paste, and works quite well. On the downside, it does need to be reapplied more often than the typical pastes. Garnets being only 7 Mohs is probably the reason for that. CrO is 8.5 and that's probably more than twice a hard. (the mohs scale in fairly exponential in its upper range).

Kind regards,
Bart.

Hi,

My idea is that they could consider of making artificial coticules of it. Idea is simple - mix the coticule slurry in right proportion with the fine modeling clay and backe it in high temperature owen. For sure, this needs much of experimenting but owning such asset and do noting with it... is clearly wasting an opportunity.

actually that doesn't sound so bad

cheers

I like the idea of the artificial coticules. That would be interesting.

As for BBW tats I would fear the lead and possible other impurities, but with my health I can't live very long anyway. I would volunteer myself as a guinea pig if not for that darn Atlantic, oh and the entirety of the USA.

I don't understand the english very well  maybe Bart is planning to make coticules from his blood that's plenty of slurry...:scared: ... I guess that the prototype is engineered as a blood sausage ...

Actually, I was reacting to Gerrit's post. By the way, Gman, have you not received the hone yet? It should have been there a while ago, I would think.

I was responding to the idea of using slurry as a tattoo ink from yesterday. I would actually try it, but the great Dr. is a country and ocean away...

I did get the stone, Thank you, and I'm sorry for not responding. I have been in labs all day every day and I forget things, like that there are people outside of this stuffy room. Yes I'm in the lab right now, waiting, watching (not so close). I haven't even gotten the chance to try the stone yet :scared: I would bring it with me if I wasn't afraid of what I might spill on it. While the twelve-year-olds that I go to college with are off drinking I will spend spring break perfecting my stroke on that stone. Thanks again.

Never fear, I always read my emails from this source. I try to respond when I can.
