He went a hunting, A brush with a different twist

HI Gang,
I have a friend that frequents Jumble sales and antique stores. He loves to hunt for bargains. He found a mounted set of Elk antlers. American Elk are similar in size to the European stag.
He had a different idea! That was putting the knot at the crown/Burr end rather than the branch end. Because he is my friend as well as my hone instructor I made this one for him. 24mm Best badger knot. CA finish on the bone.

I think that it came out quite well. And it balances on the handle when wet and on the back also.

Nice work, your friend will be happy. Really special!

I love the idea of a brush in a natural horn mount (especially if I lived in a log cabin on a big spread like my parents). There was a guy who was making some that were totally unusable due to their size, but this one looks like it is an excellent size.

Well done

Thank you all for the nice comments, It was a fun project. It is even more so since I found today that the owner had a totally different idea of what he told me to make! And, we sat at the table for 10 minutes describing what he wanted.
The nice thing is that he really likes the result.
