We used to drink aniseed milk at home in cold times, from those de Ruyter blocks. Well, that scent filled our bathroom this morning as I lathered up the soap while working in the Proraso Crema Pre Barba. The cooling of the Proraso, with the warm scent of the TDS Cosmetics Star Anise, which I lathered up with the Oumo Brush LE 095/102 / silk HMW gel tip 26 mm, brought back fond memories of old times. Something like grandpa with his Tabac? In any case, this new TDS is a fine soap for me! Good lather, nostalgic fragrance and nice caring shave.
Blade and razor:
Used the Rapira Platinum Lux for the 6th time. The Rapira Platinum Lux still runs like a train on the Proraso with TDS foam. Smooth head. The super simple comfortable Gillette Tech gives enough room to the Rapira Platinum Lux to shave nice and smooth in 3 rounds. Result BBS.
Finally, the aniseed and menthol finished with Rebul Dark Spice, Seinz. After Shave Balsam and Loris E-162 Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb made the whole thing complete. My wife did not quite agree, as she hates menthol, peppermint and anise. She doesn't like liquorice either, but I don't use that for breakfast anyway.
