I started with the cold water rinse. The Williams lathered well with the Jayaruh #425. I did one quick pass and touch-ups with the Gem Junior Lather Catcher Razor with a Personna Gem PTSE Single Edge Blade. After a cold water rinse, I finished with Brut After Shave. I am now clean, smooth, and refreshed.

This week I am just changing the razor and the brush. The razor is a Gillette Old Type with a wooden handle I made taking after a Darwin handle. The brush is JR #424 with a brown synthetic knot.
I started with the cold water rinse. The Williams lathered well with the Jayaruh #424. I did one quick pass and touch-ups with the Gillette Old Type Frankenrazor with a PolSilver Super Iridium Extra Stainless Blade. After a cold water rinse, I finished with Brut After Shave. I am now clean, smooth, and refreshed.

Nice warm weather in the Netherlands: 34ºC yesterday, 32ºC today, 37ºC tomorrow. As I always say: life starts at 31ºC you can imagine I'm happy. (Life ends at 42ºC+ btw).
As announced in my previous SotD it was time to live dangerously today: a Feather blade in my Valencia OC slant. Brush (schizophrenic Simpsom) and soap (MdC Original, need to order a new one as this one's almost empty) are the same as always.
I always say slants are the same as normal razors, but there are a few exceptions. Where a PAA Alpha Ecliptic, a Merkur 37 and a Merkur 34 need about the same amount of attention (ie practically none), you need to be careful with the Valencia. Loaded with a Feather, a blade that I've nearly never had a pleasant shave with, doubly so.
Today, everything went fine, right up to the moment my wife decided out of the blue to say something, just when I was lining up the razor for cleaning the filtrum.
Tiny nick.
Looking forward to next shave. I might get the hang of this Feather thingy.
