Mixed the Masamune and Nodachi the other way around, so, with the Nodachi cap and the Masamune base plate. It gives the same blade gap but with less blade exposure.
To me it gives a more pleasant shave then the other way around, but still I like the normal Masamune better.

Time to part with the Nodachi?
