Was in a nostalgic mood since I was planning to use my Fr.Herder Abr. Sohn #29 8/8 for the first time. This late 19th, early 20th century razor was resurrected with the help of the honing skills of @Tony.
So no American scent bombs or menthol madness or sophisticated Italian soaps. There’s only one soap that fits this mood and that’s Mitchells Wool Fat. Classic.
Couldn’t help but thinking about the time it has been since this razor was used for the last time. What men have used this razor before me? Those kind of things I find fascinating.
Nice 3 pass shave with little to none irritation.

I used this little heljestrand it is 9/16 if I used the chart correctly. I honed it on shapton glass stone 1k/2k, coticule, Pierre de la lune.
It is sharp and quiet. It is a nearly wedge razor.

Never expected that I would ever be able to shave with the Feather and shaved completely smooth with only one small blood dot as collateral damage.

J&T® Padoek finest 2-band badger Virginia Sheng with Jabones by Luna Ginebre was a great start. Good foam with a discreet, but nice scent of juniper and some floridity.
Blade and razor:
The Max Herder Swedish Steel (carbon 0.08 mm) for the 5th x used.
Max Herder Swedish Steel (carbon 0.08 mm) has unfortunately been killed today. The blade is broken, so he no longer shaved well in the first round. Blackbird V2 machined finish 85mm handle with the Max Herder Swedish Steel (carbon 0.08 mm) so replaced by the Asylum RX with a Feather Professional and yes that shaves differently. To start with I have to switch from effective with few cutting chances, to effective with indeed a possible cheese slicer threat. However, once switched, after a bite of cheekbone skin, the Tunney had to come into action, a very smooth deep shaving result.
Result: DFS.
Finally: Fresh fruity finish with Green Freeze Lemon (Osage/Men/Cajuputi/Menthol/Lemon), Weleda Aftershave Balsam and Loris E-012 Attitude makes the whole nice crisp and floral in this beautiful clear autumn weather.

If he wants to stay the King he has to step it up a bit as even I, a member of the lower caste, who's known to shave with some of the most nasty shaving soaps ever designed by an alchemist has a seven day set of these razors.

If I had to shave with that ......eeeeh Eufros shaving soap (which can be reported to Amensty International for torture, but all that aside) I wish I had 7 hands to remove that eeeeeeehhhhhh shaving soap as soon as possible.
