A french razor made for Printmeps Parisien , which is a big store in Paris according to French razor specialist Cha-wing.

Some guess Leresche is the original producer but no one knows.

The head is semi cage head. It is a bit on the aggressive side. I found that I am not a big fan of French cage head razors after trying 3 different models. so it left my shaving den permanently.

Mine is really different. It has an extra module that fits like a glove. You have to press hard for the DE blades and I understand why now. The blades at the time were the rigid type and a bit different.

Printemps is a big store in Paris, but I am casting doubts about the PP being printemps parisien. This could be something else.

Cha-wing at B&B?

I tried that schim on several razors and it fits only old type style Gillettes.
It's possible that the owner bought that extra piece at the time. Maybe Gillette old type heads were popular back then.

As for the PP, I will be asking other French collectors and see with them. about the PP. I doubt it's Printemps Parisien. the inversed "P" could be a "q"
And could mean "Qualité",

Ok, I got the Info. I was right. It's not "Printemps Parisien". That was not true.
It's Prefecture de Paris (District of Paris) Very old Brand since 1870.
I am in a video call with the collector. I'll get more info and get back to you.

They made mostly blades in 1870. Their razors are indeed rare. @nongillette Lucky you.
I'll see if I can get the french guys to send me pics of their razors.

PS: I bought mine because I liked the look of the total package, very contrasty and pleasing to the eye and it fits well with my French collection. I might be looking for the rest.

I've seen the razor on Ebay at least 3 times so it might be rare but not that quite rare.
and I dont have the razor. It left my den a few months ago.

Thanks for the info but both opinion lack any real evidence equally so I'd rather be in epoche status till I see a conclusive proof.
