Ah, that could just as easily have happened that I dropped it once. 
But I think more that the picture here is not quite well exposed because of the dark parts on the top and bottom plate because on the scraper itself there is nothing to see except a little bit of soap scale.

I've a razor with a handle like that somewhere, unbranded. Different head though. The case I have with a slant. Took me quite a while to realize that it was shaped like a DE-blade.
