The Nivea Shave Cream was face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #2 Two-band Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the 1902 Kampfe Brothers/Star Lather Catcher and the Star Wedge Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Nivea Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Swiss razor today. Steiger Pilot. Steiger being brand, Pilot type. Angle adjustable, either regular, or some 50º or just over 50º angle. Has a spring in the handle so you don't have to loosen the handle too much to change angle. Full brass, used to be silverplated but nearly all plating has gone. Head is a brass version of the Zaiss-head, that we know from the NeoGam, NeoLux, NeoRas type razors.
Difference is: those had a 45º angle. I can shave with that. In fact, I actually really like those razors. Anything over 45º is getting problematic: WAY too easy to start slicing instead of cutting.
So yes. My face looks like I fought the ffing cat. Don't even have one.
Remind me to NEVER shave with this again.
