Soapsample was given to me by @dajd I believe, when I bought 2 SV soaps off off him. Still got some left. Great soap! Lathers like there's no tomorrow.
Shave was good, not super. Missed a few spots. The razor though is excellent, very smooth. Thanks to @Tony (again)
Pre-shave: American Crewl oil
Shaving Soap / Cream: Golddachs Sandelholz
After Shave : Pinaud Whisky Woods
Shaving Brush: Proraso
Safety Razor: Karl Engels
Razor Blade: Lord Super
For the first time I had a shaving soap from Golddachs under the shaving brush and the result was very satisfied.
A good quality lather where it is very pleasant to shave with.
If I have to mention a negative point, it is the strength or better expressed the weakness of the scent. It is a beautiful Sandalwood fragrance but in the foam he remains very much in the background and as a lover of strong fragrances I find this a pity
This shaving soap will certainly appeal to wet shavers who appreciate the combination of a good lather with a subtle scent.
Just had a shave with the WSP Black Amber Vanilla set, cann't smell anything at the moment due to a cold, but my daughter says i smell really nice, I will take that!!
So I can not comment about the smell (but when i smelled the sample before it smelled really nice) the as and balm (with a nice dose of menthol) feels really nice.
Tonights tools.
Not in the picture are the Osma alum and the matching aftershave perfume which I spiked with some menthol crystals. Better shave than the last one. As much as I like the scent of the soap I think it lacks a bit in the slickness/post shave departement. At least when I compare it to other soaps in my collection
