Tedco Lite razor

Walid

Well-Known Member
Flashlight razor 1940's according to Waits Compendium.

The light is surprisingly strong and yes you can shave in complete darkness with this razor. Takes a standard AA batteries.
Some other flashlight razors apparently use proprietary batteries.

As for the blades, this one has a Gillette head (old type). and it takes any standard double edge blade.

Some collectors find this gimmicky but I always wanted at least one in my collection.

Enjoy the pics.

I just got the razor when I came back from vacation (with other ones). Haven't shaved with it yet. The light is bright enough. I will probably do a night shave today with it.
Other razors that came with the same package are Columbia Junior, Tiffin, Fox, Globe trotter, Oblyc and perroni.

I am gonna add another picture to see the size difference with A Gillette old type (The sticker is for the year it was made, 1905).
The Tedco is a bit slippery and if you have a habit of hitting your razor with the sink, you might be breaking the bulb with repetitive shocks. So, don't.

I absolutely love this! Want one for my collection too! It could even have practical value in my country we have so much electricity loadshedding!
