Unknown razor from the USSR

I bought this razor by accident. It cost two Soviet rubles, and I bought it for $2. I assume it was from the late 80s. There is no information, I wrote on several forums, but I have no guesses. Completely plastic. There is a place to store blades in the top cover of the box. There were some with a transparent top cover, and with a blue one.

Unfortunately, my razor has a small damage on the head, but it can be fixed, especially since I would hardly risk shaving with it - it is very square (although the blade presses quite hard). :)

Knowing that all razors in the Soviet Union were copied from foreign razors, I am sure that this one was copied from some razor.

While searching for information, I found that there was another version of the razor, but there is no information about it either.

Hey TRS,

I wrote the following on another shaving forum but it seems to now be appropriate here as well:

"If you're interested in knowing more about the history of Russian razors there's a good website. Google "antik-forum.ru razor" (and opt for an English translation) and you'll find 158 pages of Russian razor history filled with photos and fun facts like:

"In 1925, the workshop was reorganized into the Leningrad State Plant of Meteorological Instruments "Metpribor", which was subordinated to the All-Union Trust for Optical and Mechanical Production, since 1931 to the All-Union Association of the Precision Industry of the Supreme Council of National Economy (since 1932, the People's Commissariat of Heavy Industry) of the USSR."

Cheers and Happy Searching!

Can you link to the specific section, I'm not finding it?

It's a bit tricky but it's really just the way I said above. Put "antik-forum.ru razor" (without the quotes) into a Google search. Then click on "translate this page" on the first site that comes up (it will be in Russian). This will take you to page 68 of 158 pages of Russian razor history. If you want to start at the beginning, which you'll likely want to do, just click on "First" near the top right of that page. And then you'll soon be off into another world..

Maybe this helps:
