Yaqi issuing a perfect clone of the Bohin and a Darwin handle next week

Hey Folks,

Yaqi is issuing several new razors next week. I got this from BB forum. Unfortunately the thread is closed and it turned Ugly between the Pro-Chinese vs the anti-Chinese or if you want between the Well off and the not so well off who evidently welcomed the move to have the opportunity to spend less and experience these wonderful razors. The heated debate was stopped probably because politics (USA vs China) and also of some vendors who didn't like the favourable comments people were making about Yaqi and the critiques they made about the vendors who were charging outrageous prices for a lesser quality sometimes on the finish. It was hilarious though, Germans, Italians, French and Kazakhs were supporting China.

The razors will apparently cost about 30$ and are made of very well polished stainless steel. I don't think the price is right for this quality it should be higher.

I don't have much info on the Darwin model, I can provide only the image of the handle. But the Bohin, OMG, is surpassing the original. with a flawless polish.

I will buy those as soon as they're made available. Good news is probably the vintage Bohin and Darwin prices will drop in the future.

I have the Bohin copy (Called a Bohemian apparently) on order with our local Yaqi Agent.
They have changed the posts to round ones (an improvement IMHO) and its apparently going to be Stainless Steel. So its "only" a flip plate.

From what I've seen is that the price is about $95.

I thought it would be available next week, where can we get it? Aliexpress shows nothing yet.

Maybe i tempory lock down my buy stop to order a razor, but how do i get this sneaked down my better half. The first foto looks nice together with brass TFC.

The good news is that you don't need to rush your purchase. This is not a vintage razor that will vanish only to reappear a few years later.

You can take your time. From the looks of it, this beauty will be selling from next week til kingdom come. And then again, it will probably be available in hell and heaven as well. And no worries, my friend, it's stainless steel; it won't melt in hell. So, you still have time. :cool:

Have it sent to a friend, and have him “gift” it to you.

You've been in the game for a long time ;) . Your experience is really appreciated here.
Any other tricks? I have the same problem here. I am thinking about creating anew thread for this topic. I am sure it will be well watched by all collectors. Not just Razor collectors.

Yes, I know that trick, it was used by a Canadian perfume collector. His problems kept on growing, his wife tried to help him (she had a degree in Psychology)
They documented that in YouTube. Eventually they separated but stayed good friends. The guy (Eugene) went into depression and created a perfume brand recently.
He is the reason why I got into deep thinking about collecting habits and how unhealthy they can be.

May not be a bad idea‍♂️. I have went the route of… ok STOP, I may have a problem. Now if I want a razor, I sell a razor or 2 or 3 to get the funds to buy the 1 I want. This way my investment pot is capped. No more money than what was originally spent. The wife is very good with this plan of mine. Yes I suppose one could pull the wool over her eyes and throw a little extra back in the pot and she would never know… but it’s really not about her… it’s about me… I recognized my C’razor’y (play on crazy) was headed (IMO) down a path that I prefer not to walk‍♂️
Do I want the new Yaqi’s… yes.
Do I need them, NO
How bad do I want them… now it’s time to look at what I own, and decide, what do I sell to get them… sometimes I choose what I own over what I thought I wanted, and do nothing‍♂️
