Brush and soap:
Maseto Silvertip Badger Shaving Brush - Memphis and Pinaud-Clubman Shave Soap:
The Maseto Silvertip Badger Shaving Brush - Memphis is exactly the right brush for the final of the Pinaud-Clubman Shave Soap. This, technically very good, soft soap went on this morning. That's good, because I don't like it. Actually a sea where nothing really matters, but also so neutral of smell etc., that it adds nothing. The foam is very good, but then I know more. When I see again, that I need 15x to empty the box, it is also screamingly expensive with a price of €13.95 and many times more expensive, than a box of soap from e.g. MDC or LPL, which just never run out. So for me this has been the first and last Clubman soap. Well that said, still a nice basis for a good shave.
Blade and razor:
Used the Super-Max stainless for the 1st time.
Then the blade. I am absolutely no fan of Super-Max stainless. Yet this morning I shaved with some surprise with this blade. Earlier I characterized this blade as not special and something like the Derby extra. However, this 1st time this morning was really nice. In the Merkur 39C Slant Long Handle Barber Pole the Super-Max stainless didn't do a bad job at all. I feel a bit more pulling, than with a top blade, but that wasn't disturbing at all and the combination was very accurate shaving. Slick all around.
Result: BBS.
Finally: with the 4711 Echt Kölnisch Wasser the lack of nice smell in the Pinaud was compensated. With the Weleda Aftershave Balsam somewhat lubricated, but that was not really necessary, because the Pinaud soap is quite good in care and moisturizing. Then some extra fougere and spiciness with the Loris E-85 Dior Fahrenheit and I was satisfied again.

Shaving Soap / Cream: TOBS Peppermint

Aftershave: Speick
Aftershave Balm: Speick

Shaving Brush: Edwin Jagger Silvertip Fibre XL

DE-Razor: iKon 102
DE-Blade: Feather 1x

The attentive reader (who of course we all are here) sees the following discrepancy.

On the picture you see the DOVO Mint while the assignment mentions the TOBS Peppermint and of course there is a reason for that.

When the DOVO lathering up, a scent came up that reminded me and then Mrs. Koning whom I had called in with it of rancidity. I already had this before with a new jar of Eucalyptus of this brand or I always get them an old jar or the ground smell of this soap doesn't lie to me.

It's too bad, say, two soaps from your @jaap ouderwets scheren going straight into the trash. :(

Now I also thought today that on the English and her German sister forum I only see the Dovo pass by very sporadically once.

Razor , Barbe Bleue Devette .
Blade , Gillette 7o'clock Sharp Edge ( 5 ) , and now in the trashcan .
Brush , Piccadilly Super Badger , a small brush , but a great performance .
Soap , Stirling Island Man ( Ex The King ) .
AS , Novon Barber Cologne Smoked Pine .
The Devette is a Cross Over between a Safety Razor and a Shavette .
Forgett Fatip , R41 , Roedter , and all the safety razors on the market !
Came from the States a few years ago , and once in a year i used it .
Blade gap on one side is the same as a package shaving blades .
On the other side no protection at all , its like a blade on a stick .
But , great fun to shave without damage .
3 passes , not a comfy shave , but verry nice .

So , this means no more Dovo soaps for you and me .

Brush and soap:
Omega 10019 and Arko:
After some preliminary work with me Prep, nice and basic with an Omega 10019 foam from Arko in the red box! At least 8 years ago, since I used this soap, because it's not even in my database. A shame, because you can disagree about the smell, but the shaving foam, which you beat from it, is phenemonal. I think it smells pretty good, too. If you don't like the smell of citronella, of course this is less successful, but then you miss a pretty good soap for little. I couldn't get past it at my Turkish super this time and took a box for €1.79 and a stick for €0.99 and can tell you, it just goes in my rotation again!
Blade and razor:
Used the Super-Max stainless for the 2nd time. Again the Super-Max stainless is quite nice to use. In the Above The Tie S2 this Super-Max stainless is good shaving. Also only the 2nd turn, but this way it is not a punishment. The quite effective ATT S2 gives a nice smooth result with this blade. Result BBS.
Finally: the Eyüp Sabri Tuncer Kolonya Klasik Limon fits nicely with the Arko, fresh citrus. The neutral Seinz. After Shave Balsam put the skin back in order, after which the Loris E-108 Hugo gave it a nice smell.
Now waiting for the day to come to an end.
