Erik Anton Berg Eskilstuna. Frameback.Leopardwood & wenge.

Hi Caleb

The razors arrived here yesterday. That Sure-Edge is a sweet razor:thumbup: I suggest some traditional scales for that one? Perhaps wenge with a white liner and black buffalo horn wedge? And it will made be slim enough to fit the sleeve...

The W&B..I´ll start with polishing it,fill the pivot hole with epoxy and then we can talk about the scales. Would you like something traditional or perhaps a bit more contemporary and bold?

Have quite a lot of work ahead of me the next couple of weeks..a guy gotta make a living:p so have no idea when they will be finished;)
Kind regards
Torbs

Hey Torben, You read my mind on the razors! I am going to let you have free reign over the designs, but I would like to keep the shure-edge more traditional/original it is part of my set:thumbup: . The W&B is fair game. I am never going to sell that one, the blade is to badly warped :(

If you want some of my opinions, I do like very dark woods/material. Horn, ebony, etc... I also like lighter colored materials! Bone, ivory, un-stained wood. Im not attracted to heavily stained "toffee" colored woods, but I wouldn't complain if I got them! - That wenge does look very nice!

The only thing I wouldn't want done to the robeson is some crazy huge pins, a little size/design is great, but to be honest, big burly ones just arent my thing

You do what you want, a white liner would be verrrrry classy! Wenge is a nice colored wood with a beautiful pattern!

Good luck,
MrMaroon

Hi Caleb

Had`nt seen your answer,sorry.
Okay,the Sure-Edge will be traditional,slim and with small pins/washers.

As for the W&B...hmmmm...Got some very nice Zebra wood http://www.thewoodbox.com/data/wood/zebrawoodinfo.htm How about that?

Its all you buddy! B) Whatever you come up with I won't be dissapointed. The ideas I posted were just in case you didn't have any yourself.:O Since you are doing these on the house you can use any scrap/cheap stuff you want. I won't ever sell these two:love: If you must, that zebrawood is verrry nice.;)

I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Also, I have a W&B celebrated barbers use that took a huge slab of meat off my thumb I will send to you eventually. I will of course pay you for that job. I have a nice faux ivory celluloid box I bought to use for scale material if you thought you could do it. I will get ahold of you when the time comes.

Thanks again man:w00t: ,
Caleb
