For the sensitive skins

This is making me want to try a wedge/near wedge or 1/4 hollow. All 3 of my straights are full hollow.

I get close shaves, but I do get irritation is certain places where I have to contort into weird positions to do a true ATG pass, and thus can't control my technique as well. At any rate, I am still getting better I just lose focus sometimes.

Ha, I'm waiting for this oldie to arrive, as we speak :) <whistles>

Matt whats your plan ,you'll clear the razor or you'll use it as is?
Best regards
Emmanuel

Of course I will clean it. Wouldn't you?

A bit too rusty at the current condition, plus it would probably invite even more rust?

Going back to the topic, oh yeah, less hollow blade helped, I'm right after the shave. But I definitely lack some more refined technique, the horizontal growth on the sides of my neck makes it all more demanding. But I am a perfectionist and of course I had to do three passes...

A two pass shave helped me. Call me weird, or an idiot, or whatever, but I find the WTG pass unnecessary. Less passes is better for the skin in my experience, and I would necessarily say that I have over-sensitive skin. I go kind of ATG/XTG depending on the area. I don't worry about getting everything on the first pass, so I don't go over the same spot twice, and instead wait till the second pass to make sure I got everything. For prep I just lather up and throw on a towel (heated on the stove) for three minutes or so.

And I find that with prep, too much leaves my skin pretty beat up, and no prep isn't good either. The sweet spot is somewhere in between.
