Kabrand used to be a French razormaker. A French forum shows an invoice from 1922, and they existed until after WW2.
Apart from straights (very good ones I might add) they made DE's and blades. The DE's came as regular and (non-torqued) slants, all in gold, silver and chrome. Most DE's have a toothed Closed Comb: the teeth are on the closed comb. The slants can be used as regular or slant: the head is tiltable in three positions: middle (regular) diagonally forward, diagonally backward. In a tilted position you basically shave with a SE. The patent for this tilting head is actually Italian: Igo Hudes from Milano was granted patent 24525 on april 20, 1938, and there is a Hudes razor with this head as well.
Handles are either smooth or knurled, and even the smooth ones have excellent grip. The razors are beyond aggressive: bladegap is some 3mm!
The center screw is often a bit too short, and has the tendency to deteriorate. Don't close too tight therefore, and oil screw and pivot.

A travelkit, smooth handle, and dualcomb: one side toothed, the other side smooth. The smooth side is more scary in use than the toothed one: the bladegap is larger.

The differential head came in gold as well, however this one is not tiltable, so can be used as regular DE only. Slightly less scary.

A bit searching for the right angle, due to the somewhat weird configuration, and then it is careful shaving. The bladegap is serious, so the razor is waiting to bite. However, once you got everything right you get some seriously smooth and lasting shaves. And a really good peeling :lol

Today, I received another Kabrand razor, that was promptly placed in the Kabrand travelkit I had waiting for exactly that purpose. The razor itself is basically the same as the one in the second post, interesting in this kit are the small mustache-comb and the original thee-hole blades for tough beards.

Found this near-NOS Kabrand. Near, as it has the wrogn blades. This is a regular DE, with a rather normal OC base, which makes it different from the one @Jake shows in the second pic in his post above.
