Tonight's bakelite razor shave was with my Mulcuto Diagonal (schragschnitt). This razor is one where the head is tilted on the handle with the screw post tilted and the hole in the base plate tilted. In addition, one side of the cap is higher than the other side, all things combined to make sure the blade cuts your beard at an angle. Mulcuto made many different versions of this razor, some were all metal, some metal and plastic, some with a flat base plate. I am sure @efsk will join in with his picture of all the different variants (which he owns all of).
This razor has always been a pleasure to shave with as long as I remember to keep the handle straight like a regular razor and to orient the raised side to one side of my face and then turning the razor around for the other side.
