Why all the hate?

We are not on about recommendations, we were on about people appearing to be anti Coticule.

Well as we all know, getting the best out of a Coticule does require both the proper technique, and a reasonably high level of skill.

i must admit i keep my post about coticules limited on srp. It seems to cause conflict. So thats why i avoid posting. I would say its all personal preferance. there is no dout that coticules are in big demand , even now.Thats says alot . frustrating they can be.my best shaves have come from the coticule. I like trying the odd differnat hone. I always end up rehoning on a coticule and thats just me . The whole pint of a coticule for me was to be able to use one hone and not 4 or 5 synthetics. btw i have got a set of synthetics, they never get used except the 12k once or twice. So thats why bart came up with the one hone system on our coticules.the first one was unicot and then dilucot.then there was some questioning fronm certain place. Thats why we have coticule .be.

Yeah it may take more skill than other hones require. There's another factor to consider when recommending a hone. I agree with the guys (and girls?) who said personal preference is the major factor, although I don't know that anyone actually hates coticules. There are probably a small handful of people who hate those they believe hate coticules, and a small handful who hate those who love coticules though. Like I said before, hones don't rile people, people rile people

I got banned at SRP years ago. If memory serves, someone asked whether they should buy a 4/8k norton or a coticule. In a long thread with lots of responses, I quietly mentioned that I had started with synths, was getting my first coti, and wished I had went straight to coti's. Also repeated that most people I'd seen reported coti's finished finer than a Norton 8k. Some mod, Gugi I think, jumped down my throat about it and I basically told him to stop being such a dick, I was just giving my opinion. GSSix showed up and gave a big Me > You speech. A few days later I was in a thread talking about DMT's, which I did most of my honing on at that point. GSSix shows up and declares that you shouldn't use DMT's on chipped razors. I asked him what he meant by that because I used mine to remove chips all the time. Went to bed and the next night I logged on to find "You have been banned. Reason: Disagreeing with a Mod" I saved a screenshot of that one for awhile. Found it hilarious.


But yeah, 2 or 3 years ago at least, they HATED coticules.

My friend ,not give them importance. I can tell you that when my father and my gfather honed their razor on coticule enjoying their shave,surly , all of them were in liquid state by doing swing in the balls of their father.
