Omega 20102 and Bomb Dead Sea Salt Soap:
Looking for a good syntheet that looks like a pig, this morning I used my Omega 20102 (in my opinion my best pig in the barn) along with the J&T® Essen Jiamei Cosmetic imitation bristle 24 mm to load and lather up the Bomb Dead Sea Salt Soap. This went surprisingly well, even though the soap is a hard glycerin soap, so it takes a bit of attention to load properly in the brush. The real pig felt a bit smoother during loading, than the syntheet, which is the biggest difference. The Omega fills nicely with lather and when lathering up on the skin it really feels natural like pig. With the syntheet it goes just as easily and this brush has a little more firmness when brushing on. In this first comparison I must confess, that the real pig feels more so, but the difference is not great. With these two brushes, shaving-wise, the syntheet is just a bit better for me, more backbone, loads easily and also spreads nicely on the skin......
Blade and razor:
Used the Personna - Lab Blue for the 6th time.
This well run-in Personna - Lab Blue had a clean task this morning, opening the maiden trip of a new razor. From Alwin I took over a Mühle R94 Rocca and used it with the Personna - Lab Blue. This is a very friendly combo. Had to search a bit for the right angle, but it worked out smoothly. The stainless steel handle is nice and firm even with soap on the fingers. To my mind it is a razor, which in terms of mildness can be compared to and RazoRock Gamechanger or a Rockwell 6s with plate 5. Nice shave with the Rocca.
Result: BBS.
Finally: lots of new so this turn, but finished with familiar old products with Eyüp Sabri Tuncer Kolonya Klasik Limon, Cien Men and Hydro Care Loris E-048 Cool Water.
