Brush and soap:
Semogue SOC Bristle Cherrywood and D.R. Harris Lavender:
Lavenders this morning. D.R. Harris is good with that! Beautiful frothy cream with a fairly natural scent. Load the SOC pig well, whip it up in the warm scuttle and foam beautifully scented foam with excellent shaving properties: glides, soaks and doesn't dry out.
Blade and razor:
The Gillette Rubie® Platinum Plus for the 3rd x used.
The Rubie is still in its element, but is also still in the start-up phase. Nice cut. In the Fatip OC clearly present, but not so insignificantly explicit. Nice combination.
Result: BBS.
Finally: Beautiful lavender in the finish with a fairly neutral ASB, makes the whole complete. Now a few hours further I still smell the warm lavender fields in the south of France!

Great to shave in a 'normal' way after the holidays, the travel razor does its job, but the comfort is low, now that i think about it, this is a real good reason to search for a travel version of the New Improved (Tuckaway?). The Gamechanger did its work with no fuss, BBS, alas not a DFS as i was a bit mindless while shaving, some red spots appeared when i mistreated my skin by to much pressure and a wrong angle. The Persona is not a real good combination in the Gamechanger, with the for example the Rapira blades it feels smoother.
The soap, what can i say, an Earl Grey tea with some grapefruit notes, there is more under the cover of these smells, but those are the main attractions. Wet the soap smells even nicer, and the foam is of good quality, although a bit more work is needed to make a rich creamy lather. I did not use my Prep, to experience how the lather of this one cares for the skin, rather well, but not on the level of my most loved possession, Monarch from Noble Otter and MitA from Stirling although the difference is minor, still a hell of a lot better than De Vergulde Hand :yes_nicken But then again, most soaps are :lol

Pre-shave:
American Crew oil
Shaving Soap: Dead Sea Shave Tempest
After Shave : Pitralon

Shaving Brush: Shavemac 26 mm Silvertip D01 Flat
Safety Razor: Charcoal OC level 2
Razor Blade: Astra Blauw

Not paying attention at the time of purchase and it turns out that there is Fennel in the Tempest shaving soap and with that he smells like aniseed.

And with some other smells the smell of anise doesn't belong in shaving soaps at all.

After the shave we went to the hotel for a temporary stay in the east of the country.

Today we planned a visit to Harkos and that is always nice. Immediately see if I can transfer that Tempest soap to him.:lol

Anise? :sabber1 Belongs in the list of things I like in soaps

Schick ProLine with Kai Mild blade for the head shave(the Feather Super Pro yesterday give me a shave with some wheepers as it sticks out much more then in my other shavettes)
Someone mentioned using LaToja cream for his head shaves but applied with the hand instead of a brush, had to try it. Lets say it was a bit messy so I'm going back to the brush thing (although it does work)

Plisson Evolution ? No thanks , much better synthetic brushes on the market like Noberu , Simpson , Muhle , Edwin Jagger , shavemac , Thater etc

I'll try it again but very disappointed.

Am I really the odd one out like many think? I love my Plisson Evolution brushes (sold my muhle's, Edwin jaggers, Shavemac and Thater, Simpsons except Chubby 2, don't know the Noberu)

Soap is a sample I found in the box with the return of my Ziglar that has been on a Passaround in Germany. Smells a bit oldfashioned (although granted, right now my nose does not really smell that much as I'm having a bit of a cold) and I missed some slickness in the lather. Maybe try again.
Merkurheads belong to my favorite slantheads so it was nice to try this razor. Perfect result with no effort at all.

Brush and soap:
Mühle Silvertip Fibre® 21mm and Dead Sea Shave - Tempest:
Introduction to a new soap from an artisan sailor. Dead Sea Shave - Tempest. A friend from the world of shaving visited us yesterday to have a nice chat. He had bought the soap, but because of the aniseed-like fennel in it, it wasn't his thing and I got it. Let me just love everything with anise and fennel, so this fell into good hands. This morning it turns out to be a lovely foaming soap with good caring properties and a scent that stays in the foam, all right! Whipped up in my travelling bowl with the travel synthetic brush I got a nice foam, in which the razor glided well and the beard was easy to shave.
Blade and razor:
The Gillette Rubie® Platinum Plus for the 4th x used.
The blade remains of good quality and a pleasure to use. The PAE Slant, with its specific head, forces the blade at the right angle and because of the low weight the combi strokes over the face and skull like a feather and at the same time it takes the beard and head hairs with it. Nice work!
Result: BBS.
Finally: The Tempest is a fine fragrance for the Pinaud Special Reserve, nurturing Mennen ASB, that really wasn't necessary, but yes the ritual, so still a nice puff Loris and completely satisfied smooth and scented.
