Brush and soap:
Rod Neep Silvertip extra dense LE 2014 #07/12 Shasoc and Jabonman Lignum MMXIX:
This morning with the Rod Neep Silvertip extra dense LE 2014 #07/12 Shasoc my sample of Jabonman Lignum MMXIX finished. This soap eating brush still had just enough material to make foam, but there appeared again the limitation of the Jabonman soaps. You need a lot of it to make enough good foam. I like the strong fougere smell of this soap, that would be a reason to buy a box of these soaps, but my stock is large enough and I am just as steadfast, which is not a big challenge for me with Jabonman.
Blade and razor:
The Astra Superior Platinium for the 6th x used.
The Astra Superior Platinium is for me an above average good blade. Not quite top, but more than enough for a pleasant shave. I' m careful to turn the blade every day, but I don't know if that really makes sense. The Paradigm Daimondback is now used 11 times and I dare to say something about it. With the Astra Superior Platinium shaved fine again. It can't get much better. In the beginning I had some reservations, because that thing feels very tall, coarse and heavy, say as if you hit your face with such a big American pick-up, but the result feels very comfortable, now that I've found out how sharp you can go through the beard and over the skin with this razor and then suddenly the pick-up is a Harley, with which you can go through the corner razor sharp on its side. You have to get used to that feeling, but then you also get something. The whole thing is a really American solid piece of hardware. However, when you look at the head it is elegantly thin again. The balance has to come from the right grip on the handle. The scraper has a preference for blades, but apparently that's in my area. Soon I will try a Feather, because I am not a big fan of that so far. In this theatre soon.
Result: BBS.
Finally: fresh and with the necessary fougere and spiciness ended with Mennen Skin Bracer AS, Weleda Aftershave Balsam and Loris E-181 Noir Man.
Another slick head.
