There's something funny going on. Why are you Canadians getting packages before the Americans? Don't your postmen have to brave the tundra and boreal forests?
Not to mention us Europeans :sneaky:

If it's not in the mail when I come home tonight, I'll drive down & collect it myself:w00t:

:) I'm still waiting for Chris's photos and a concise evaluation...

OK OK... sheesh! give a guy a minute!:D

I had a little shave-fest last night... and at the risk of firmly planting my foot in my mouth yet again, I will say that of the four razors I had ready to go, the LPB honed Edelweis was fantastic! That and the BBW honed King Cutter, were both very sharp and smooth. I won't go into what the other two shaved like. Not sure what went wrong with them. One was my Dovo that i've been trying to tweak, and the other was my J. Haywood. In spite of both of them giving good HHT results, neither one shaved worth a damn.

Photos to come! ... soon... I promise!:p

I know Ralfson only from the forum and personal correspondence and count him as a trusted friend. That he is covered in ink, both his and that that he slings (injects, applies, creates) on others, produced the affectionate nickname. Besides, it is shorter than Ponypuddle. If you have not seen his work, search for Mr. Liam for examples. Probably didn't clear everything up, more to follow.

It took me 2 weeks at the begining to understand that tat2Ralfy means tattoo Ralfy:blush: and I think I understand less than one tenth of the jokes here.

However i love you both. Ralf because is a hard-working and polite man and you because you are coming from my large aviating family, altough you use strange words that do not exist either in dictionaries.
Best regards

That's because I am a strange man, Emmanuel.

I am guessing the strange word to which you refer is "Ponypuddle" as in pony and pudddle. Inky's last name is Horsepool, as in Horse and pool. Word play is a passion to some, certainly not me though, and I use it to excess. I break this down in no way to condescend, Emmanuel. You just deserve to know the derivation of some of the fun.
Sincerely, Denny

Here you can see a picture of "Inky", aka Dr. Ralfson, my friend.

It might explain Dennis' nickname for him.

Kind regards,
Bart

Ralfy! Ralfy! where is the cigarette holder and the cigarette!!

Human mind is such a funny thing ... I visualized you as your icon, although I knew that cannot be. Don't you visualize me as a coticule.

Oh thats just for Sundays ;)

Yes it is funny how we imagine people to appear, I know in real life most judge how they think we will behave based on our appearance, whilst on the forums the reverse is often the case

Inky, Ponypuddle, Ralfson(Dr)

aka Mr Horsepool esq, at your service kind Sirs

Was that Hosepull? I like it. You are so right about why posting into the ethernet can have its advantages. There is no way to form wrong opinions based on the book's cover.

I have to admit that Terry Thomas was one of my favorites, as are you, Mr./Esq. Horsepool. But then, you're everyone's favorite, you prick. (pun intended)

Sorry to interrupt your friendly chit-chat Brothers, but.......

I GOT MY COTICULE!!!

Lovely, lovely little stone.

La Grosse Blanche - 20X150X30

I write back more as the tests & shaves are carried out, but here's the first impressions;

PERFECT size, could not be happier, exactly what I wanted.
Beautiful stone, some weird pattern stuff is going on in the thinner end, almost looks psychedelic...
Neat slurry stone, not much smaller then the hone itself:D
Very good slurry release
Took a newly hand-sanded/restored frameback to shaving armhair in minutes,
faster then expected on milky slurry.
Fantidelytastic feedback with slurry, awesome
Nice feedback on water

The edge?
Gave a Heljestrand frameback a quick touch-up with ~40 laps on water.
Just shaved with it.
And I think I heard that Angel Choir Bart has in his signature singing keen & smooooooooooooooooooooth :w00t:

This was smooth as smooth can be. Mellow all the way, without any sacrifice in sharpness.
Just like I dreamed about.

Bart!
Yet again I tip my hat in your direction. Thank you for making this happen:)

My very own, tagged coticule

Oh yeah, love indeed

Since you are a Doctor & all I might as well ask you:
Is it normal to get all warm & fuzzy inside when you hold your new coticule in your hand the first time?
'Cause I must admit I did...

That is a great size/width. You can do anything, just about on that stone. Your pics are almost SOTD. (That's OK, isn't it Enforcer?) Right, too, about the slurry stone. It would make a fine travel stone.
