RicTic: La Petite Blanche 50X200 192EUR
I broke my own rule than I wouldn't select anything larger than 175mm... Maurice insisted.
Isn't it a beauty?

Dennis Kelly: La Grosse Blanche Bout size 7: 10X230X35 43EUR
Who said great Coticules are expensive?
Dennis asked a "super smooth finisher". This is one. See n°46 of the Vault.

Jason Meltzer: La Grosse Blanche 50X150 136EUR
Jason has the most sensitive skin I know. (I've been sharpening razors for him since 2 year). He needs a mellow Coticule. I found this one on top of a shelve where no one hadn't looked for a long time. Did I tell I turned the place upside down for Grosses Blanches?:)

Drybonz: La Dressante 20X170X40 43 EUR
Just in case someone isn't happy with what I selected.

Reserve 2: La Veinette 50X175 188EUR
This is one of Maurice's "Wait, I have something in my office" hones. I couldn't let it pass by.B) (Mind the side views)

This concludes the selection. I hope everyone will be pleased with what I selected. This wasn't easy...

Further instructions to make the actual purchase follow in the next post.
Bart.

Oh WOW on Richmondesi's stone. That is absolutely beautiful.

I thought I had HAD under control and have told myself that this is it, but seeing all these pictures I want more and more coticules. I have enough other finishers, but these things are beautiful!

Amazing stones all of them... but that Richmondesi's stone... WOW visually it is the Queen of the lot.

Wow! just.... wow!:w00t:

Chris,

The one I selected for you, went home with me. To avoid confusion, because it's already paid for, Maurice preferred that I ship it to you myself. That's why it isn't in the pictures I shared.
But it's a beauty and tomorrow in the daylight, I will shoot a picture and add to this thread.
I beg your patience.

Kind regards,
Bart.

whew! I was a little worried you might have forgotten about me.B)
Thanks Bart! I'm really looking forward to it!
The others I have might eventually get sold off, but the one chosen by you, and the one from Denny will be noted in my last will and testament!

[note]Here's how we're going to do this:
Every person I selected a hone for has time till next Friday to confirm that he accepts to buy the hone I selected for him.
Please state so in this thread. I will contact Maurice, and he will send you an e-mail to arrange for shipment and payment.
Shipping costs are not included in the stated prices.
[/note]

Kind regards,
Bart.

This is unbelievable, and I'm near speechless!

So many beautiful stones, and such an act of kindness and generosity by Bart, all the folks at Ardennes Coticule, and everyone that works so hard to keep coticule.be going.
I'd like to express my appreciation to Bart for going to the trouble of picking such a beautiful stone for me... One that I dreamed of. It's really just a nice thing to do.

By the look of all these coticules, everyone should be extremely happy.. I know I am!

Thank you, Bart, Maurice and everyone..

Bart, please accept my confirmation of my intent to purchase the stone you so kindly picked out for me..

Bill

WOW Dennis... you got a beauty there. as soon i saw the picture that's the one my eyes couldn't stop looking at.

It looks like an ancient art effect.

If you ever,ever,ever... want to trade it or sale it, I'm your man.

Maybe you could take some pictures of it and share it whit all of us.

Enjoy it
adri

Bart, I'd like to confirm my intent to purchase the one you selected for me, unless reserve 2 is actually similarly priced and available, in which case I don't know since that one is my preferred length. I wouldn't mind your advice on that choice if it exists. Actually, I'll let you decide that for me. :p

I also am inquiring with Isaac about seeing if we can combine shipping, since I think he actually may live close to me.

And thank you again for doing this. This is certainly a wonderful opportunity, especially for those of us who were unable to make it to the coticule weekend!

Thank you all for the kind words. The honor and pleasure was of course all mine.

Bill

I got that, Bill.

If anyone sees his name underlined in the original posts displaying the hones, that means that I'm confirming his confirmation (if that makes sense to you).

Kind regards,
Bart.

Bart, with much thanks, hereby confirmed - to buy!

Actually Jared has a great idea to combine shipping - anybody else in the north east US, around Boston?

Bart in the Reserve 1: La Dressante would you consider it one of those special la dressante you would have difficulty's to separe from it...?

best regards
adri

I guess mine will do

bwhahahaha!

Another one thousand thank you's my friend, not for the first or last time am I indebted to you.
You made some beautiful looking choices, and I know we are all so happy. Wasn't this lot easier than monitoring the Coticule vault 24hrs a day......lol

My warmest regards and confirmation of course

The price I stated is wrong, I just remembered that I actually have a copy from the new price list, announced long time ago, but since a few weeks in effect. Reserve 2 costs 188EUR. (I'll edit my post). I you want it, it's yours. In that case, the hone with your name on becomes available as reserve. Just let me know.

Kind regards,
Bart.

No it's not a La Dressante of the "hairlines" type. This one would act like n°7 of the Vault. It's a great stone. But so it the one I selected for you.

Kind regards,
Bart.

Hey Bart are any of the a La Grosse Blanche in the Vault similar to the one you picked for me today?
