Gents, as reported in the acquisitions thread my Janus arrived yesterday. I do have had the benefit of hindsight so I especially kept a Wizamet SI that had 3 shaves under its belt waiting for this. I dialed it to 8 for its first drive.

JMHO - A two pass BBS so yes it's aggressive. I caught a small cut on yesterdays shave which it reopened, which cold water in turn closed immediately. No new cuts or weepers, so I'm not complaining about my Janus...

I really took my time this morning and it's still early days with it but I find my 2019 Rocnel or my 2011 R41 more of a handful. Based on this morning's shave it could be a daily driver for me. I'll be playing around with the lower settings in the next few shaves and see how they go.

Respect it and it will reward you with an awesome shave.

Brush and soap:
Maseto Silvertip Badger Shaving Brush - Memphis and Calani Dubai:
Wondered if I could use the Maseto Silvertip Badger Shaving Brush - Memphis without shaving bowl with the Calani Dubai and then headsopping. Moist warm brush, drawers in the container Calani and smear on the sheet. Well that went from good to better, resulting in a thick layer of foam on the head and a brush full of good for more than 3 laps. I didn't expect this wonderfully soft tie, with apparently more than enough backbone. Test passed.
Blade and razor:
The Personna Pfte Injector used for the 5th x.
The Personna Pfte Injector considers 5 shaves nothing special and so did his job nicely. The Pal Injector is just a bit more convincing than the Schick L with which I am also very satisfied. With the Personna Pfte Injector, however, the Pal is just that little bit more effective.
Result: BBS.
Finally: Dubai is like earthy souk scents, so Rebul Dark Spice with Naturlife Krem Vazelin Argan Ve Aloevera Özlü and Pinaud-Clubman After shave lotion Original to finish it off spicy.
Completely satisfied again!
