Linen/fabric component

i was using the tm horse hide and i have to say i realy liked it, along with my linen which is atached to the tm latigo. Once i got my kanayama , i sold my cotton/horsehide to a fellow member on here i forgot who it was. i treated my hors hide with some neats foot oil and seemed to work. did'nt like the latigo leather. kanayama is my favorite i have to say i have the 80k and both leathers are brill. despite the k linen i like stropping on it, thats not a problem infact its quite differant. just does'nt work in the way i want it to. which is a shame .

I've only owned by Kanayama for a few days, but I love stropping on it. In my opinion, it has the perfect amount of draw. I don't know if stroppingon something with heavy draw like latigo or buffalo prior to using it would help but I'm happy and don't plan on spending a whole lot more on shaving stuff. I now have 7 razors, 4 brushes, a few strops, 2 coticules, 1 dmt 1200 and a whole bunch of creams and soaps.
 
Paul, I surely don't suggest everyone test an edge like I do. Heck, I would make a great hawk at the State Fair selling lawnmower blade sharpeners just so I could cut stuff like paper and cucumbers. I have loved sharp things since I was old enough to walk. I really get a kick out of seeing where in the process what happens and how long it will hold up. I think it is perfectly reasonable to tpt an edge in between EACH dilution. Waste of time, but reasonable to me because it is fascinating. Denny and his chainsaw. Here kitty kitty.
