I always have to read with a blissful smile the stories of shavers who are continue talking about a shaving soap that they have bought with yet another new soap base.

It's usually the same naive jesters who cheer about this. And what do they achieve now? What they do is that the price of these soaps is slowly but surely rising to dizzying heights.

The same goes for the soap used today, which says big that it has a new formula but is therefore only a $12 more expensive than the old formula shaving soaps.

Is it worth the doubling of the purchase price I find hard to interpret because the shaving experience with the predecessor of Phoenix or HTGAM is too long ago.

What I do know is that this Old Salty is one of the most beautiful aqua scents I have ever smelled and has to compete for the first place with also an "old" soap, namely the Wickham South Sea Spray.

The foam is also fantastic and this soap offers a fantastic sliding layer and the nurturing properties are also top quality.

In other words, this soap is highly recommended despite the sharp increase in purchase price.

This soap has a great rose scent! I enjoyed it and my wife also, so maybe I have to think about a full jar. The Lutz combined with a Voskhod did the job very well. Have a good weekend!

Brush and soap:
J&T® Bamboo Tuxedo Syntheet 24mm and Wars:
A Polish oriented shave this morning with the J&T® Bamboo Tuxedo Syntheet 24mm and a nice foam of the Polish Wars.
Blade and razor:
The Saddle Stainless Blades for the 4th x used.
The blade shows itself from the right side. Were the first 2 turns with the Saddle Stainless Blades not special, I think that was due to the too effective razors. In the Fatip Piccolo Special Edition (SB) the Saddle Stainless Blades is fine to shave with this morning. Smooth and effective enough. Little bit angle sensitive, but after 3 laps, WTG, XTG and ATG well shaved. So continues to the next turn, the 5th my standard where a sufficient blade should at least have to meet.
Result: BBS.
Finally: The Polish scent is extended with the Wars Classic EnergetyZujaci. Moisturizing with the Seinz. After Shave Balsam, some nice smell of the Loris E-108 Hugo and ready for the weekend.

First time use of the Tallow N 1. The later was nice. The scent was hard to describe.

The La Toja was a gift with the Maravilla I received yesterday. The D01 is not the best for stick, as it first eats then delivers lather, and with a stick you need more loading to get to the deliver part.
Weird razor, this one really needs a lot of attention whilst loading the blade, as it is perfectly possible to get humongous exposure one corner of the head, and no exposure in the other three corners.
Still: five days of beard gone in three passes.
