Another Gillette New shave tonight, however with the common Long Comb, not a fancy sub type or made in England, just one where there are a million for sale on eBay and shaving forums. A very stable shaver and sometimes boring, but for Friday night, boring is sometimes good.

I had forgotten how cold the Mama Bears Ice was and I had added a large amount of Menthol myself.

The ++ Menthol on the lid is not wrong, even a polar bear would get cold from this shaving soap.

Tonight I pulled out my Henckels Rapide, my meanest looking SE razor, but most efficient with a properly honed Henckels wedge blade. Unlike the name, one should not rush when shaving with this razor. Very similar in principal to a lather catcher, but does not have a catcher. tonight it took me three full passes because my blade is abut two shaves away from needing to be honed again.

Tonight I shave with an old type Gillette razor called the Old Type. the head is very similar to the Pocket Edition I started OCtober with, however this one is the version with the thick cap. Though not quite as efficient as the thin cap Pocket Edition, it is a much smoother shaver. A much more pleasant two pass plus touch up BBS tonight.

Tonight I join @UnShaven and @The King with my Fatip Grande. This razor is a favorite that has never reached my regular rotation, but after shaving with it on special occasions (like OCtober) I keep wondering why it has not. The razor is extremely smooth and efficient. When I read posts from other folks that say this razor will cut off your ear or extend your smile if you are not careful, I wonder if they speak of the same razor.

Tonight was an enjoyable two pass plus minimal touch up BBS.

Tonight is Tuesday and so another OC slant. This time it is the ATT S2. Because I was so cheap as to buy an ATT without a handle, I use my Hawaiian Koa Wood handle to show the S2 the respect it deserves. Always an excellent and efficient shaver (though I prefer the S1 for smoothness). Another tow pass plus minimal touch up BBS.

2 rounds and touchups, i like this 41, friendly & efficient! The Yaqi (with a Timberwolf knot) was smooth as silk, and the Tabac smelled nice, although i do not like the whole stick concept.

The HilaAllNaturalSoaps Fresh Forest is a more than excellent shaving soap with a delicious fresh scent.

Ever had a discussion on the Dutch forum with someone who didn't like this soap at all and didn't get any foam out of it and in a horrible review on a purchase site this soap burned down completely.

Luckily there were several people who knew how to obtain lather from this soap and they were also very positive, just like me.

Tonight I shave with a razor I just received on Monday, the RR Game Changer OC. I actually had the GC .84 SB for a while now and really liked the shave. I hesitated on the OC base plate until recently because it sold out quickly and because I feared that the .84 in OC would be too rough of a shaver. I did not know what to expect with my first shave, but was surprised to find out that it was just as smooth and efficient as the SB plate. Comparing it to the Fatip Grande from the other night, I have to say that it is slightly better. I got away with a comfortable two pass plus minimal touch up BBS.

The Elly's Wondershop Baltic Breeze was used for the first time this morning and unlike the Ice Bananas, the smell was still noticeable in the lather.

After not shaving yesterday it felt absolutely heavenly to go at it this morning. First I had a nice long hot shower, and then I did a hot towel application four times followed by a good soaking of my face with hot water. It was delightful to smell that wonderful scent of the Klipspringer soap, and to work up a great lather which was so rich, thick as well as slick and protective with such a lovely menthol sensation. The Prep and the Alt Innsbruck gave me a perfect finish. It took FIVE passes to clean me up - yes, FIVE passes but now I’m as smooth as silk!

I looked hard, opened the image in a separate tab and zoomed like mad, but i did not see an OC, no trace whatsoever of teeth on this razor..?? Wrong thread?
