Paradigm

Unfortunately (I think) Andy has decided that the new Javelin needed changes. The experimental Javelin in SS has been my number one hair remover for the past year, if he can top that one I'll take my hat off. His own words: New model will have that in common with Javelin: efficiency! It's specified with a generous gap and moderate blade exposure, as well as a couple of other new tricks.

This should be the new broom under need it:

Ai ai that's an ugly grip that absolutely cannot charm me. :augenroll1

And after the debacle with the Diamondback I'm certainly not the first bidder and buyer of his products.:nein1

I really like the handle and since the new razor will be bought directly from Paradigm, I think there is a chance I will fall for it ...
WCS, where I bought the Diamondback, is a company that won't get anymore more money from me.

As expected as a person with no taste at all I love that handle Hans . Sorry to hear that some people where disappointed with there diamondback, mine was spotless and a fantastic shaver.

I do like this handle too!
Do you know if Andy from Paradigm ships to Europe? In the past I heard he didnt.

Try to get it shipped to someone you know in the US who then passes it on to you. Custom friendlier even if you give something in return to your friend.

A very interesting message on the website of Bullgoose. They will come with a "new" razor: Assylum 17-4. The prototype that is pictured, looks very simular to the Paradigm 17-4. The owner of Bullgoose claims that there was a business conflict between him and the owner of Paradigm. Bringing this razor on the market is his solution to gain some money back that he lost in the mentioned business conflict.

Very looking forward to this razor!

A real war has started, best to keep out of it all together. The original 17-4 is one of the best razors I ever owned, Phil has said his will be more efficient and smoother o_O if it is I will buy one for sure. I just buy and use razors, it's nice if the person behing it is ok but if not I'm interested in the product not necessarily the person behind it.

I basically am a razor whore. All I care about is how good a razor shaves and the quality of the build. Who makes them, who sells them, the drama, where it is made, the materials used, etc, is all secondary to how it shaves and the quality (oh yeah, it needs to be affordable to me). In the case of this conflict between Paradigm and Bullgoose, I leave that up to Karma to decide the outcome. I look forward to the Asylum 17-4 as I have owned Asylum razors in the past and am very impressed with the shave and quality.

No no don’t tell me that! I’m no longer into prostitution And never tried a Asylum razor, probably won’t sleep much tonight....

Oops, sorry, what I meant to say was I been in an Asylum before and the shave quality was good because the razors they gave me to shave with was an Olaf Rasmussen. :banned

Seriously, the razor I had was the RX which was their first razor and an SE with a unique design, and I did try my friend's Darwin clone, which was okay, but did not compel me to buy one. For myself, I would probably get the 17-4 since I don't own one. For you, you have the luxury of waiting for reviews and comparisons because I doubt if Bullgoose is going through all that trouble just to produce 100 razors. :daumenhoch

It seems the project to produce some nice lower priced razors between Paradigm and Grooming Department is no longer. Probably due to all the negative publicity on the forums from Bullgoose and his fanbase. Unsure if Andy is now going to bring back the Javelin project, if he does it won't be like the original one he told. Still my number one razor in my den, hold it perpendicular to your skin and you never feel any dragging or resistance from the hairs, such a nice nice shave every time.

What can I say????

How things can change when you use razors exclusively for several weeks and learn the small but often important things that give the best shaves for each item. It makes for a different list of favorites among the Paradigms.

1 Paradigm Javelin
2 Paradigm Titanium I
3 Paradigm 17-4
4 Paradigm Titanium II
5 Paradigm Diamondback

Paradigm SE: still the number one SE (old or new) on the market for me.
Looks like andy went up in smoke so probably won't see another Paradigm in the near future (good news for the bank account :wink
