I like this smell of petunias very much, would love the 42 AS ..

Have a nice day!

a nice shave of the skull this morning. super smooth in 2 courses. Together with the old Timor and mama bear dragonblood it was a party. And now on the way to plunder our adopted fruit tree. Have a nice Saturday and enjoy the sun a bit more.

Razor: Merkur 34C
Blade: Voskhod (2)
Pre-Shave: Prep Cream
Soap: KEPKINH Vanilla
Brush: AP Shave CO 24mm Silksmoke Black handle
Aftershave: Physalis Hamameliswater
Aftershave: Lidl Cien Aftershave
Aftershave: Lidl Cien Aftershave Balm
EDT: Lidl No1

Had to struggle to this one because the Voskhod blad was blunt already after one shave. The KEPINH soap is always a good performer.

try again. now in the right topic

Saturday morning:

Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
Super Speed/new Gillette
Vintage Springreiter Shaving Stick
Fino ASB
Black Garter Cologne

I received this antique Springreiter stick as a gift from an old friend of mine in Germany something like fifteen years ago and I almost forgot that I had it. Anyway, a hell of a good soap - the scent is clean, soapy, and nice, it gives fantastic lather which is rich with good slickness, and it’s very skin friendly. I vaguely remember this stick back in the 1980s when my Dad brought one back from Germany because he was there on a business trip. The Fino balm felt great when I massaged it on and the Black Garter is another vintage cologne which American barbershops used as an aftershave - it has a lovely old school scent which is right up my alley. The new Gillette blade gave me a brilliant BBS shave!

Razor: Merkur 34C
Blade: Voskhod (1)
Pre-Shave: Proraso Pre
Soap: Aleppo Soap CO Aleppo shaving soap
Brush: Market Boar brush
Aftershave: Physalis Hamameliswater
Aftershave: Brut Original
Aftershave: Speick Men Aftershave Balm Sensitiv
EDT: Brut Original

First shave ever with Aleppo shaving soap. The soap give glide but no protection and lather, i think it is better to use it as bathsoap then shaving soap. A mild razor saved the day.

I had the same experience with the soap. It is impossible to get a lather out of it. But it works ok as a bathsoap.
I do can shave with it. Doesn't give a thick great foam, but old time barbers had no other stuff!

Pinaud-Clubman After shave lotion Original.

Brush and soap:
Vulfix 404 Grosvenor mixed Badger and Boar Bristle and Cyril R. Salter Sublime Citrus:
This morning a great turn! After saying goodbye to the knife yesterday, so to speak, it was all right again today. The water here makes the soap lather, so that the Vulfix 404 Grosvenor mixed Badger and Boar Bristle and Cyril R. Salter Sublime Citrus easily delivered a best cup of foam.
Blade and razor:
The Rapira Platinum Lux for the 1st x used.
After using 3 Merkurs, which I will never do again, I took a Rapira Platinum Lux and that gave the trusted feeling again. The RazoRock Game Changer 0.84-P was again the purest pleasure with the Rapira Platinum Lux. This is how shaving should feel. Well-groomed and no stubble all day. This is after 4 days again a great set-up.
Result: BBS.
Finally: The Kartopu Limon Eau de Cologne hardly pricked, the Mennen Baume Energisant was actually unnecessary luxury and the Pinaud-Clubman After shave lotion Original was the icing on the cake, which rounds off the whole thing perfectly.

Sunday morning:

Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap
Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
Super Speed/Gillette day 2
Stirling Frozen Tundra SS
Prep ASB
Alt Innsbruck AS Splash

These Gillette blades are definitely very good - they’re really sharp, smooth, as well as forgiving and they have good longevity. The Frozen Tundra soap is the second coldest from Stirling after the Glacials and it has a most delightful scent which to me is peppermint, wintergreen, and earthy notes along with menthol. It’s so easy to lather and the menthol sensation intensifies during the second and third passes. The Prep felt heavenly, as it always does when you massage it on after a shave and I absolutely LOVE the scent of the Alt Innsbruck as well as the menthol blast it gives. Three passes resulted in a cracker of a shave!

Have a great Sunday!
