I got a good lather out of the la cigale soap. There is nothing wrong with the soap. My skin was a little itching afterwards. I can not say it is because of the soap or something else. I have to use it a few more times. I'm new to razor honing and straight razor shaving. The razor was sharp enough to shave with my straight razor shaving skills.
Wonderful day. the spare ribs are on the bbq. 1st beer is finished. And a great shave. This Wacker never disappoints never, always a super sharp edge.

I wanted to compacte the sharpness of both razors. I know now that the sharpness of the hellberg van be improved. I like the hellberg, but I think it can be sharper and smover. The hellberg spine differs in width to compensatie for the blade width.
The fella shaves really nice. I know if is not to everybody's taste, but I like the look of frameback razors.
Weird shave. Lathering is no problem with a soap like this and the Yaqi brush.
When applying the lather to the face it seemed to dissipate. It was a struggle to keep the lather in a good working condition.
Maybe the MWF lotion which I used as a preshave is the culprit.
A decent shave with a not so spectacular result. No irritation though.
