Have a fine day

Thursday morning:

Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
Super Speed/Gillette day 6
RVT Dark Lime SS
Nord Ost ASB
Musgo Real Classic AS Splash

I was a little rushed this morning so I only did two passes but I still managed to get a good BBS shave. (Maybe I missed a few spots, but who cares!) The Dark Lime is one hell of a great soap - to me the scent, lather, and skincare are brilliant. The Nord Ost balm is from Russia and it has a very nice scent as well as a good cooling sensation along with excellent moisturizing and soothing. Finally the Musgo Classic aftershave completed the routine - does it ever smell nice!

Morris & Forndran Style 3, Size 2 in Finest, Ivory Grain
DR Harris - Marlborough
Sesam - White (s)
Voskhod (3)
Alum

Sometimes, brush, soap, mood just fit. Could not have had a better combination today than this one. Brush felt marvellous, soap gave a perfect lather, and a charcoally, pencilly smell that just fit the Vinho Tinto that I found in my glass today.
The Sesam is a razor that I'd been looking forward to for a while. Apart from the fact that it was sent to the wrogn placeand it took some effort to get it home, it is very similar to the NeoGamRasLuxfamily of razors that I like. Difference is the topcap, that with this model usually is not used.
Fact is, the Voskhod that I sincerely disliked in my previous razor, worked very nice in this one. Still: did not get better than socially acceptable.

A bit of a rough shave today. I blame the Bolzano blade therefore. That blade delivers great shaves sometimes, but is other cases it is very rough unfortunately. Good day!

Mwf lotion
Yaqi brush
Nivea shaving cream
Veritable st joanis arbost (pour barbe dure)
Nivea deep as, balea ultrasensitive balsem

Never used the Nivea shaving cream before. It is not high end, but I like it. I think there is no problem with the silicones as long you use a synthetic brush.

I have bought the razor at a brocante market in the summer in France. It had a frown. I maneged to remove it and sharpen it.

Brush and soap:
Maseto Silvertip Badger Shaving Brush - Memphis and Martin de Candre Original:
I'm standing in my bathroom this morning with the Maseto Silvertip Badger Shaving Brush - Memphis de Martin de Candre Original to whip up in my M ceramic bowl, I get a beautiful foam, so beautiful, that it's almost a shame to shave with it. How beautiful is that? That soap foams so nicely and the Maseto makes such a nice lather, that it's just a party. It doesn't smell special, just white stuff in a jar, very expensive, but also very good and tasty, so it's worth the cost.
Blade and razor:
The Gillette Rubie® Platinum Plus for the 2nd time used.
The Gillette Rubie® Platinum Plus is a blade that is on the same level as the soap just praised, so it's very beautiful and effective too! With the Ikon Shavecraft 101 and the Gillette Rubie® Platinum Plus, you can choose between a closed or open comb and a sturdy, solid razor. In my hands a nice combination.
Result: BBS.
Finally: Floïd Original, Floïd Aftershave Balm and Loris E-108 Hugo were the final pieces of this masterpiece. How beautiful the day can start!
So and then we went out again with the caravan and we are now close to Doorwerth.

@dajd94 gave me the Colonial Razors The Silversmith to test out.

And after two shaves I can already conclude that it's a lovely shaving razor that reminds me of the Gamechanger 0.84 in terms of shaving characteristics.
A smooth shave and in fact from the beginning you automatically get the right shaving angle.
In terms of efficiency he should let the same Gamechanger go first because the Silversmith shaves a little less deep.
But with a Gillette Nacet knife you have an excellent combination.

Only the handle doesn't appeal to me at all, but the appearance does, because I think it's a beautiful handle to look at.

No, it's the small diameter of the tapered end -just where I hold the scraper to make the upward movements - that makes it difficult to hold on well. This is the same problem I experience with the Blackbird I probably have too big hands to hold these thin handles comfortably.

Therefore the shaving head on a Titanium Stork Consul grip screwed and that was quite an advance.

O, my word, what a difference to use the Gamechanger after the Joris, so smooth, so friendly so ehh 'not demanding' my skin is totally relaxed, no irritation what so ever, and smooth as you can wish. 3 rounds and a very minor touchup (i seem to miss a small spot every single time..)
The soap has a nice scent, fresh, cologne like, real good, but a touch under-powered, it could do with a bit more Umph.
Time to do some shopping, and spend the day elsewhere, our kitchen was removed, and is now filled with huge boxes and stuff of the new furniture and machinery, it is just possible to wiggle trough to get near the fridge and remove some stuff when needed, but that's all that is left of a functioning kitchen. so we go spend our time somewhere else, anywhere else, where they can prepare food, as that luxury is missing at the moment, today my wife's parents are helping us out.
These are times i am so glad we do not have a built in coffee machine, the troops would have started a mutiny! It was the first device to get a place outside the kitchen disaster area, but what a pain not to have a sink anymore!
Have a great weekend!

First use of the Nodachi. The shave felt a bit strange due to the geometry of the razor head, but absolutely not bad! However, the coming days some others blade will be tried. Have a good weekend!
