Guys at the end of the day reading all these threads linked to here has made me even more appreciative of HERE. I may not have been here long, and I may not know any of you from the other forums as I have tended to keep to myself for the most part. However I feel like I could sit down and have a beer with any one of you. This place is much warmer and friendlier than the big places. Perhaps that is do to the size of the forum, but I think it probably has more to do with the people who are attracted to a no nonsense way of dealing with sharpening razors.

My wife said something about the whole anti-coticule group that made me laugh...and then think she might be right. She said that most of those men probably have to claim the necessity of all the hones they are buying or else their wives might be a little upset. Could you imagine a wife logging onto SRP to find a Christmas present for her husband (who just received a 30k shapton in the mail) reading that one stone could do it all, and that the one stone can be purchased for a reasonable price? That was her feminine input on the whole situation. :

That is probably much closer to the truth than you might think. If you have a drawer filled with over 1000$ of sharpening stones, how can someone else claim that he gets pretty much the same results with just one small 40$ rock? We can lie to your wife, but can we also lie to yourselfs? :-/ Hence these guys with their one Coticule, they must be wrong, or have a very low standard, or mislead in some way...

I had to look up "candidly". I all honesty, if someone (and I mean truly anyone) comes up with another valuable approach to get a good edge from a Coticule, other than the three we already host (Unicot, Dilucot and the Progressive method), I will be the first to add it to the Coticule.be sharpening academy. After all, isn't that what this is all about? Offering Coticule users several options to use their hone in a fun and successful way. I honestly don't believe Sham's identical tread starters on SRP and B&B were posted with such an aspiration. I rather think that he same his chance to do further Coticule bashing, because some SRP mods and members might be in a retaliating mood for a couple of things that were posted by myself and others earlier on in this thread.
It almost feels like some kind of war that is fought at different fronts.

I am going to do the smart thing, and close this front now. I think all is said and done.
I thank all who posted in this thread, and call upon your gentlemanliness not to continue this conversation elsewhere on this forum.
