Brush and soap:
J&T® Padoek finest 2-band badger Virginia Sheng and Proraso Wood and Spice:
Proraso Wood and Spice is great shaving stuff. For me it retains a bit of a chemical undertone, but the other scents and shaving properties make it a very good shave line. The badger makes a good lather in the travel bowl. Nice thick lobed foam.
Blade and razor:
The Gem Personna Pfte for the 3rd x used.
The blade is again fine on cut. Sometimes I wonder why I have all that other stuff, when I can shave so nicely with the Gem blades and razors. With the Gem G Bar this is so good, that it can hardly be beaten, both in terms of both the cut and the comfort. OK, I also have some of these SE's, which are a bit less, but most of them go, just as easily as a warm knife through butter, through my head hair. So now also 3 laps and absolutely smooth.
Result: BBS.
Finally: A nice sprinkle with Turkish Tabac edc, some Proraso Balsam and finally for the smell some Proraso AS, it was nice and woody and spicy again.

A few firsts today. 1st time with the bowl, soap and the first shave in nearly 2 1/2 weeks. I lost a bet with my son....couldn’t shave the entire holiday abroad.
But today the Gold Dollar took care of the growth effortlessly.
Not in the picture the Aqua Velva aftershave I used. Terrific bowl by the way!
I’ll post a review of the soap shortly.

  • Mühle R41 (2013+)
  • Lord Classic (1)
  • DScosmetics synthetic
  • Chiselled Face - Sherlock
  • Van der Lovett Aftershave Balm - Sailors Blend
  • Loris - Vetiver Gold
My first shave with the R41 head (on a R89 handle) was not bad, not bad at all, quick efficient and smooth, but one step down from the Fatip Piccolo, that one is nicer, more friendly while still very efficient.
More tries will color in the overal picture, but it is way better than its brother the R89.
The Vetiver Gold was a birthday present, the smell reminds of So Oud, but with subtle additions, very nice!
A good start of the weekend this was, and i wish you all the same :)

Razor: Parker 97R
Blade: Voskhod (2)
Pre-Shave: Proraso Pre
Soap: KEPKINH Frosty Lemon
Brush: AP Shave CO 24mm Synbad Emerald handle
Aftershave: Physalis Hamameliswater
Aftershave: Speick Men Aftershave Lotion
Aftershave: Speick Men Aftershave Balm Sensitiv
EDT: Speick

Again a very nice shave, still need a lot of menthol because it's still warm. If you like razors wath give you bladefeel then the Parker 97R is the razor you want. I allmost reach the bottom of my 200 gram KEPINH Frosty Lemon soap.

RazoRock 400,
TOBS Peppermint,
West Coast Shaving Hollywood Palm,

My son is turning 8 today, of course he gets to choose the soap. Luckily he chooses a nice peppermint scent!
The West Coast Shaving Charcoal Goods collaboration is a fine experience, not too special, but my skin likes the level 1 baseplate a lot more then the level 2 Charcoal I've had and used before.
Enjoy your weekend!

The Nordic shaving soap has been applied for the third time today and the review has been written.

I don't have to write for that soap because I already have it. And enjoy it very much.

There are plenty who love the soap in the picture, to each his thing I suppose. Yes Hans it's the Schick that they want, the soap they can buy, the shavette is more difficult to find (this was a NOS).
