Where were we? Ó Yes looking for the Christmas tree in the forest and what is the smell that awakens many memories?
Just that fantastic forest smell of the Essence of Scotland Mountain Yew.
And to complete the Advent celebration, the divine Pino Silvestre supported the smell of the forest.:yes_nicken

And there is the Christmas tree we are looking for. daumenh!

After three shaves with the gamechanger that it is boringly good razor. Really good smooth shaves with the rapira, but not very exciting.

exciting IMHO is more like a feather artist club style of razor with a super pro blade :D

but I see your point, very good shaver but it’s not really satisfying me neither

Brush and soap:
Omega 20102 and Elly's Dear Odessa:
This morning I used another soap, which I only used once and didn't really make an impression at the time, and now in the resit with a firm brush that can be used to make good foam. The Omega 20102 with Elly's Dear Odessa. Well beating the foam went like lightning. Unfortunately this is not a smell, of which I get very excited. According to the maker: The basis of the composition is acacia, lime blossom, sandalwood, ginger and tea tree. All the rest - lime, yellow apple, pomegranate, coffee, etc. - only complement the core, softening.
I smell and complex scent, which is mainly carried by the tea tree. Also some coffee, spiciness and all kinds of sweets, which can be the acacia. Well, a good shaving soap, based on smell, had I smelled it in a shop, it was not purchased. In fact, it could be bought cheaply from the Ukraine and that's not always useful............................... In any case, it is technically good and not unpleasant.
Blade and razor:
The Kai Stainless Steel for the 6th x used.
The Kai Stainless Steel still works like new after 6x In the Rockwell Razors 6s, the Kai Stainless Steel is so nice to shave with, that I turned the plate from 5 to 6 and got nice and smooth with it. The foam made the combination run fine.
Result: BBS.
Finally: Because of the sweetness of the flowers and freshness of the tea tree I chose for a lavender finish: Ilgaz Lavanta Kolonya (Lavender), Weleda Aftershave Balsam and L.T. Piver lotion Lavande.

The Asco is a blade from Lord. This brand has a wide variety of blades. This one felt good in the two shaves I had with it in the Gamechanger. A Smooth blade and effective as well. I have to try it in other Razors before I give my final opinion. Have a good day!

First shave with the Diamondback!
The shave is good, as good as the 17-4's?
Shaving feels a bit off, the handle is heavy and a bit longer than I like. The razor is more audible.
We'll see!

Brush and soap:
Shavemac Silvertip D01 2 band bulb 24 mm x 50 mm Jungle Moss and Musgo Real classic soap:
Classic good, such a turn with fine soap and a good brush, the Shavemac Silvertip D01 2 band bulb 24 mm x 50 mm Jungle Moss with the Musgo Real classic soap. Nice dense foam, that really lays a solid sliding layer. The brush almost doesn't let it ox anymore, because the cohesion of the foam in the solid tie is firm.
Blade and razor:
The Kai Stainless Steel for the 7th x used.
The Kai Stainless Steel keeps going. Hardly noticeable is the cut a bit less. However, in the Lutz Slant this Kai Stainless Steel makes a great combination and I was confident again to easily reduce the head hairs. Smooth head.
Result: BBS.
Finally: Splashing and finishing in style with the Rebul Lavanda, that smell goes well with the Musgo. Then Musgo Real classic ASB and another nice scent of the Musgo Real classic AS. Gives a really great feeling.

  • Stirling AS Balm - Varen
2 rounds and touchups BBS, fast and smooth, until i forgot that you just DO NOT USE PRESSURE with this one, anyhow, Alum used, bloodbath averted.
The Jungle Warrior is a treat, lighter in scent as the Stirling Varen, but not less, just, different, less down to earth. The Varen ASB is now mingling with it, not a bad combination, but i wish Noble otter made ASB like these!

Have a great Weekend :)

Nice shave, I think the Diamondback is a little less efficient then the 17-4, but it's an intuitive, smooth shaver.
Two shaves in so still nothing in concrete.

Yesterday I received a notification that my razor was delivered at the post office. However, the office was already closed when I received that message. So this morning early I ran to the post office, so that I could use the Paradigm for this morning' shave.

I chose a soap which a did'nt use untill today: Mama Bears Sleigh Ride. This scent is one of the best I have in my den I have to admit. It reminds me of the scent of "winter glow tea". But despite the good soap, the main attention went out to the razor. I have to say that the first shave was very promising. It is to early to draw conclusions or make comparisons to other razors, but the razor felt realy smooth and gave a close shave. A very enjoyable shave and I am looking forward to the coming ones. Have a good weekend!

Brush and soap:
Semogue 1305 Boar Bristle Shaving Brush and TDS Cream: evergreen juniper:
A new introduction this morning. The Semogue 1305 Boar Bristle Shaving Brush was allowed to make a foam from TDS Cream: evergreen juniper. This is a sample soap, which I got from Jan Zoethout. It comes from White Russia, which is less interesting, than the properties themselves. Doesn't happen too often, but this soap I'm immediately in love with. It foams, the foam is dense and thick, type Bulgarian yoghurt, smells at least as good as the soap in the box and it slips like an eel. Immediately need it, need it effect! The smell of juniper in a somewhat fougère base with a firm earthy note, but also some Eastern mysticism is a nice heavy man's scent. Thank you Jan.
Blade and razor:
The Kai Stainless Steel for the 8th x used.
The Kai Stainless Steel also became cheerful in the foam. They are endurance knives, and this one is allowed tomorrow for the 9th x. The Gillette Slim adjustable at 6 for the skull and 7 for the face in combination with Kai Stainless Steel was still fine. And with the TDS foam blanket absolutely no-nonsense.
Result: BBS.
Finally: Had also received a sample Homelikeshaving DejaVu ASL and it goes well with the TDS. Has some pine smell according to my nose. You can't read anything on those products, because it's all described in Cyrillic. Pino Silvestre Moisturizing & Lenitiv After Shave Balm fitted perfectly and the Loris E-048 Cool Water gave another nice cool swing.
