@Onno the Nivea is also availlable at ethos in the Netherlands. Also Ekoplaza
has the speick stick.

In Germany you van easilly get Tabac, Wilkinson and Palmolive.

Also availlable are the Lea, Vie long and La Tioja.

Connaught has them all except the La Tioja.

Balea rasieröl
Yaqi synthetic brush
Speick shaving cream
Turkish shaving bowl
Unmarked slant razor
Derby extra #2
Vdh alum
Witch hazel
Reuzel AS, vdh balsem

This is a derby extra from a package with the old logo. I feel a light resistance when shaving (is that tugging?). The shave is ok at least DFS.

i like the concept of a shaving stick. Hard to find this one in the Netherlands and found it in vitaminewebshop.

unfortunately this one dries my skin. Any better ones in the market?

Pleasent surprise is this Lord blade. One of the better ones I have used.

Have a good day!

I've got several shaving sticks and among them are DR Harris, Speick
Palomolive Classic and especially the Wilkinson Sword of very good quality.
The wilkinson does contain lanolin as an ingredient so do not buy it if you are allergic to it.

Brush and soap:
Mühle Silvertip 3 band and Meißner Tremonia Dark Limes:
Meißner is a soap of the kind always good. The scents are sometimes surprisingly tasty or funny and the Dark Limes is from the latter category. When beaten with the Mühle Silvertip 3 band, this Meißner Tremonia Dark Limes smells a bit muddy and at the same time pleasantly fresh. How nice is that a mud bath on the cheeks in the morning, which slides and shaves like a madman.
Blade and razor:
The Gem Personna Pfte used for the 10th x.
Ready with this Gem Personna Pfte after 10x. Really done. The Ever-Ready 1912 had trouble with this Gem Personna Pfte to get things smooth. Everything was right, only the sharpness of the knife wasn't. Well, tomorrow, then.
Result: DFS.
Finally: The Eyüp Sabri Tuncer Kolonya Klasik Limon, Weleda Aftershave Balsam and Loris E-181 Noir Man were an excellent final piece after the Dark Limes and I will go through life with a nice smooth skin again.

As everyone will know by now, Paul Kox owner of the Dutchshavingshop is a friend of mine and that has the advantage that I sometimes get the change to try out new shaving gear.

The same goes for the Friendly Soap shaving soap I have used today.
In the list of ingredients we find, for example, the following Risinus oil-oil-coconosoil-soywax-aloe vera and essential oils of lavender and orange.
Connoisseurs then know that there are no ingredients that provide a firm and firm lather

And it's precisely the shaving soaps that don't appeal to me at all because the lather almost disappears after application like snow in the sun of the face.

The sliding layer is reasonably fine but the protection is insufficient in my opinion. The scent is soapy with a very light orange and lavender scent that smells stronger on the soap than lathered up.

This kind of soap will certainly appeal to people but unfortunately not to me because a firm full-fat layer of lather appeals to me much more.

I shaved finally after several days of growth. Busy, busy and tired...
Anyway, a great shave tonight.

The asb will be dumped...have had this for years in a closet and ‘found’ it again, but it has gone off. Unpleasant smell, can’t remember if it was better in the past, but I don’t like it (anymore)

Brush and soap:
Semogue 1305 Boar Bristle Shaving Brush and Oleo Montrose Beach:
Nice foam beaten with the Semogue 1305 Boar Bristle Shaving Brush from Oleo Montrose Beach. This is a fresh somewhat floral and also a bit sultry sweet soap, which I find difficult to specify, but I like very much. The foam is more Bulgarian yogurt than whipped cream, but shaves beautifully.
Blade and razor:
The Super-Max Platinum for the 1st x used.
A fresh Super-Max Platinum, which, although Super-Maxes are not my favourite, did it best. In the Ikon X3 this Super-Max Platinum felt fairly good shaving and the result was also quite nice. Nicely smooth in 3 rounds. Well, the X3 covers up a lot, because it is a bit of a lifeless razor. However, the result counts and that is good.
Result: BBS.
Finally: Freshly sprinkled with Eyüp Sabri Tuncer Kolonya Klasik Limon, after which the Seinz. After Shave Balsam the balance restored. Loris E-113 Hermes Terry fits nicely with the smell of the Oleo, so again completely satisfied.

Unmarked vintage slant
Derby extra #3
Vdh alum

La rive cabane, vdh balsem

The Derby moved to the blade bank. The alum and as sting was massive. I used the DE really light touch. The funny thing is that the cheecks and neck are smooth.

Well, it used to be good times that this could lead to discussions about whether or not Whale vomit belonged in shaving soaps. :kaputtlachen1
