Paradigm

It won’t, you can not live without a 17-4, ask Hans if you don’t believe me :) Maybe Tjebbe will sell his one because he doesn’t like it

As usual, we're in complete agreement again, Snuffie. :yes_nicken
There is a life for the Paradigm 17-4 and a life after that and I couldn't do without the 17-4 anymore. :D

People who influence others to purchase such expensive shaving gear should be charged for a part of the costs of it

You wish! I charge €100 finders fee (ask Hans & Tjebbe and the others who got one thru me) :lol So you will have to sell some stuff instead of buying more ;)

I asked West Coast Shaving how the Diamondback compares to the 17-4. They gave me the following answer:

We reached out to Paradigm for this question when it was asked on social media. They responded with, "It's similar to Ti 1 in efficiency, more user friendly. Am I allowed to say that it's our best DE to date? Given the level of efficiency, it's pretty easy and safe to shave with. The gap at .8 is pretty healthy."

This makes me even more curious.

The javelin is also more efficiënt than the T1 and smoother so it’s probably true

My young friend Kingjack has been in contact with West Coast tonight with the question if they want to send customs friendly and the answer is clearly no.

But they have indicated that they expect to receive the safety razors at any moment.:sabber1

The polishing is a nice gesture, I like a polished razor better. The delay is too bad of course.
How did you hear of this?

edit: I see it mentioned on their site, thanks!

If they have to polish it first, I understand why there's a delay :flucht1
I think the original razor was to come unpolished, but because it will be late, they will polish it for free, which would make it later and so if you didn't want it polished, would they ship on time, or just not as late?

Just received.

Dear Hans,

We're writing to update you on the delivery of your Paradigm pre-order. We are just as excited to receive these razors as our customers are! The artisan assures us he's doing all he can to expedite the process, and we are prepared to start shipping razors the same day we receive them.

We expect razor to arrive in multiple shipments starting next week, with all of the razors arriving by 10/7.

Rest assured we will ship the razors to you as soon as humanly possible. We will be emailing tracking information to you once the order has shipped. We appreciate your patience and apologize for any frustration or inconvenience. We believe that this razor will be worth the wait.

And this is how the polished one looks:

Paradigm has never disappointed with it's shaving qualities so I'm sure this one will be great on that front too. I do find the design a little uninspiring, much of the same. Also not a great fan of the design of most of their handles, I'm sure plenty will disagree. But they are very well made and finished and a sensational shaver.

The razor looks great, although I do like a mate finish more than a polished one.

Very curious to experience the shaves. Hopefully it is the same level as the 17-4 (or better). Currently a 17-4 is on sale on another forum, but not in my price range.
