The fasan feels more mild then the paa oc. But the Derby extra blade I had in the fasan made it a rougher shaver. Next time I shave with the fasan it won't be with a derby extra.

@mhharsta I also have a grelot 71 6/8. I'm not pleased with the edge. What finishing have you used?

In the past it was finished on the Charnley Forest, but since a few months I finished it on a nagura progression on the Jnat.
Both finishers work very well. It is one of the best shaving straights for me.
Are you sure the bevel setting on your Grelot is ok @ehv , and how is it finished?

@mhharsta I'll check the bevel. I think it is the source of the issue. It will do not hht across the complete blade.

What did you use on the charnley? Water, water glycerine mixture, soap?

@ehv , I only use oil, a few drops Herbertz sharfol, no pressure and about 100x on the stone.
Some other members use it the same way, and it gives a crisp sharp edge, still smooth.

@ehv grelot belongs to the best razors out there. Make sure your bevel is set correctly.
My progression is naniwa chosera 1k2k5k with very light pressure. Then the 5k with no pressure. Then naniwa superstone 8k12k with no pressure, then charnley forest wit oil, no pressure. Charnley more is better, it is a very slow stone.
