Balea rasieröl
Yaqi synthetic 26 mm
Turkish shaving bowl
Tabac shaving cream
PAA OC + shark ss #5
Vdh alum
Dickinsons witch hazel
La rive cabane, vdh balsem

After 5 shaves the shark went to the blade bank. The shaves were good in combination with the PAA OC.

Time to move to another DE.

Proraso Pre Shaving Cream,
Mühle Silvertip 3 band,
Proraso Green,
Mulcuto Schrägschnitt (metal),
Apache Personna 4th x,
Alcolado Glacial,
Toco-Tholin Lavender ASB,
Proraso AS.

SOTD_20200206.jpg

Brush and soap:
Mühle Silvertip 3 band and Proraso Green:
A real grumpy head turn this morning. First nice and fresh in the Proraso preshave. Then with the Mühle Silvertip 3 band a nice lather of the Proraso Green. All not spectacularly refreshing, but just that fresh.
Blade and razor:
The Apache Personna for the 4th x used. The Apache Personna behaved a lot better this morning, than yesterday and left a nice clean shave. Apparently the Mulcuto Schrägschnitt (metal) with the Apache Personna is a lot better combi, than with the Timeless 0.95. In any case no damage this morning, and that's a good thing, because a fresh shave always bites a little more. Result BBS.
Finally: The Alcolado Glacial gives the ultimate kick, then softened a bit with the self mixed Toco-Tholin Lavender ASB and finally some Proraso AS for the nice smell, which then quickly disappeared.

Pre-Shave: Bleubeards Revenge oil
Shaving Soap / Cream: DR Harris Eucalyptus

Aftershave: Floid Suave
Aftershave Balm: Floid Masculina

Shaving Brush: Poraso

DE-Razor: Razorock Jaws
DE-Blade: Astra green 1x

The first shave with the Razorock Jaws this after my young friend pointed out in our phone conversation yesterday that he had left it here on his last visit.....so I completely forgot.

Now I'm not really a fan of open comb razors (only the Fasan and Fatip can charm me) and this one is no exception.
The Jaws is certainly efficient but I miss the soft feeling that it is just too uncomfortable for that is the thought at this first acquaintance.

Muhle OC
Gillette Nacet
Shavemac 28mm silvertip
Stirling Tuscany

This Muhle is very friendly and that is nice but it takes a bit off time to get a close shave...
Tuscany from Stirling is a real sweet and warm wintersoap, charming.

AP Shave Co Cashmere 30mm
Mama Bears - Wild Rose & Oak
Parker Semi Slant
Gillette Rubie (2)
Humprey’s Astringent
Myrsol Antesol + Emulsion

Again a very nice shave with the Parker. This scent of Mama Bears is very strong and original. I have nothing else what even comes close to it.

This is the Mühle R41-2009 and it is a very mild razor comparable to the current 25C.

I can therefore imagine the shock of many satisfied users of this output who are completely ignorant and took the successor the R41-2011 over the skin for the first time with the same flamboyant action. :Eek

The shock of seeing a piece of epidermis that the 2011 version skillfully removed.:gutebesserung_schild

Loris E-108 Hugo.

Brush and soap:
Yaqi R1605-S Tuxedo and Stirling Eskimo Tuxedo:
Smooth, fresh and tasty was the foam beaten with the Yaqi R1605-S Tuxedo from the Stirling Eskimo Tuxedo. This is a nice cooling soap, the Glacial from Stirling. Worked nicely in the foam
Blade and razor:
Used the Apache Personna for the 5th x.
The Apache Personna passed my 5 standard, but this one is gone, because it was a bloody hassle again. Not serious, but alum was needed and shouldn't be at all. Ergo piggy bank. Even in the light Phoenix Alpha Ecliptic Slant Ox Blod, which normally doesn't give problems, ain't the right combination with the Apache Personna. Surprises me, because the previous blade of this brand was quite useful. If it doesn't get any better than this, it gets electric shaving again....
Result: BBS.
Finally: Plaster on the wound with Eyüp Sabri Tuncer Kolonya Klasik Limon, which made itself felt, then soften the Mennen Baume Energisant. Still a small puff for the ladies: Loris E-108 Hugo.
Better tomorrow.
