Brush and soap:
Vulfix 404 Grosvenor mixed Badger and Boar Bristle and Cyril R. Salter Sublime Citrus:
The Vulfix 404 Grosvenor mixed Badger and Boar Bristle with the Cyril R. Salter Sublime Citrus cream is a good foaming cannon. In the silicone travel bowl, which is a bit rough on the inside, which creates a smooth foam, I have as much foam of the exact thickness and lobiness as I want. Nice stuff.
Blade and scraper:
The Personna Platinum Chrome (Red) for the 7th x used.
The Personna Platinum Chrome (Red) blade not yet gives any indication of wear and tear. Occasionally there is one that is less effective, but in general it is a consistent shaving blade. Turns out again, because after 7x it doesn't give the impression of reaching the end. The Fatip Piccolo Special Edition (SB) with the Personna Platinum Chrome (Red) blade is very forgiving. The skull is nice and smooth and there's no hair on the cheeks, except for the eyebrows and under the nose. Perfectly smooth again for this day.
Result: BBS.
Finally: Fresh finish with the Kartopu Limon Eau de Cologne and the Weleda Aftershave Balsam. Nice smell of the Loris E-181 Noir Man. Not fresh citrus, but a nice spicy Oriental air, with some Tonka bean or vanilla for this fresh citrus scents.
Journey to Husum today, after which we say goodbye to this part of Germany.

It takes guts to use a setup like this one, believe me - this Glacial Wintergreen soap can wreak havoc on anyone who cannot tolerate intense menthol. This one is the real deal, not that synthetic cooling agent used by other soaps such as B&M Terror or Noble Otter Orbit. With this soap you get a beautiful wintergreen scent, fabulous lather which is so rich, slick, as well as protective, and an arctic menthol blast which feels like a -25 Celsius wind blowing on your face. The matching balm and witch hazel both have that same delightful scent with that potent freeze and such great soothing. Three passes gave me a cracker of a BBS shave!

Wintergreen is one soap that ran headfirst in a absolute dislike here, i can not stand the smell, it sounded like a dream on paper, the smell of a winter forest, but it has none of that, it smells of a terrible ointment i was rubbed in with when i coughed as a small child by my grandma.Menthol Monday:

If i use anything to help the coughs and such i use now a menthol based ointment called Dampo, now that is a smell i like ;-)

Now the smell of the Stirling is very strong if you want a slightly more civilized Wintergreen fragrance then the Sudsy Soapery Blizzard is a very nice alternative.
Together with peppermint and latjered up with some pine scent in the background you have a great scent.
And the menthol level is in my opinion even stronger than Stirling's Glacials.
In other words, a top shaving soap with a nice lather as well.

I never tried the Blizzard but I heard comments on it being extremely cold. These Stirling Glacials to me are now colder than the Chiseled Face Cryogen since the formulations were revamped. Another great thing about the Glacials, in fact all the Stirling soaps is that the skincare is brilliant.
