Well, today some more:

A quit „low budget honing“ Bevel and first Progression done with the K1040 1000/4000 (At 50 Euros) whereas the 4K is as fine as 6 k at other stones. A quite quick hone. Afterwards finishing with a „grey slate“ jadish from Brasil. Cut from a 30x30cm slate-tile (at 5 Euros). Made a good impression. Will try two or the razors tomorrow.

Knyn 12 4/8, but according to modern measurement it is 5/8.

Naniwa professional 1000/3000, shapton glass 4000/8000. Finish was on the la veinette.

Dumas aine 32. @Rudolf1 has shown a huge chopper dumas 92. I don't know what the relation is between the 32 and 92.

This one is more modestly sized.

Near the heel it is 5/8 near the toe is 6/8. The thickness of the spine is in proportion of the blade. I used one layer of tape.

Started with naniwa professional 1000 - 3000, shapton glass stone 4000 - 8000. Then thin slurry on the coticule and finishing on water.

Hope it shaves well.

if I am correct, I also have 2 of the size you show. pretty nice razors. Have a good shave .

I wasn't convinced about the keenness of the edge. I read on the site tomonagura.com the speciality stone could be used with lather.

I tried it. The shave tomorrow will tell.

I am not an expert on straight razors and certainly not Japanese razors. But I love this razor and bought a second one to give my son when he is becoming 21 years old (still 2 years to go)......
